June to September and December to February are generally the easiest months for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda and Rwanda. Mahale, Tanzania, is commonly best from June to October. Rainforest conditions vary by site.
Duración habitual
Most chimpanzee treks take 2 to 6 hours, with about 1 hour spent observing the chimpanzees. Kibale habituation is a full-day experience.
