This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, that SafariFind uses on safarifind.com and our other sites (safarifind.uk, operators.safarifind.com, affiliates.safarifind.com and accommodations.safarifind.com), and how you can control them.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way but stays on your device and is not sent with each request. We use both, and this policy covers both.
Essential cookies are always on because the site cannot work without them. If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, analytics and marketing cookies stay off until you agree to them. Everywhere else they are on by default, and you can turn either off at any time. On your first visit, a banner explains this and lets you choose.
Your choice is saved for six months and applies across all SafariFind sites on the same domain. You can change it at any time with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. When you turn a category off, we delete the cookies those tools have set.
These keep you signed in, protect your account, and remember your language, currency and cookie choice. They cannot be switched off.

These help us understand how visitors use our sites, so we can improve them. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are only set if you accept them; elsewhere they are on by default and you can turn them off in cookie settings.

These are set only when you arrive through a link from one of our affiliate partners. They record which partner referred you so that partner is credited if you book.

We also keep some information on your device so features work: your favourites, recently viewed safaris, quote and booking drafts, chat history and assistant settings, and an anonymous ID that remembers your preferences between visits. It stays in your browser until you clear it.
The operator, affiliate and accommodation portals use the same essential sign-in and security cookies and follow the same cookie choice. The UK edition, safarifind.uk, is on a separate domain, so it asks for your choice separately.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block essential cookies, signing in and some other features will stop working.
If we change the cookies we use in a way that affects your choice, we will ask you again.
