Bushwack Birding offers private, specialist birdwatching tours and wildlife experiences in Hoedspruit, the Greater Kruger and surrounding Lowveld. Led by Sarel van der Westhuizen, a specialist bird guide with over 30 years of guiding experience, Bushwack Birding caters for everyone from first-time birdwatchers to experienced birders seeking particular species. Experiences include private Kruger National Park birding safaris, Mariepskop forest birding, Blyde River Canyon excursions and flexible guide-only services. Sarel combines extensive bird identification knowledge with Big Five wildlife guiding experience, patience, humour and a relaxed, personalised approach. He is also the current Chairperson of the Hoedspruit Bird Club. Private half-day and full-day experiences are available by arrangement.
