About Me My name is Solomon Kidane, founder of Omo Valley Tour Ethiopia. I was born and raised in Jinka, the gateway to the remarkable Omo Valley of southern Ethiopia. Growing up in this region gave me a deep understanding of its diverse cultures, traditions, and communities. With more than 15 years of experience in tourism and cultural guiding, I have dedicated my career to helping travelers discover the authentic beauty of Ethiopia. My journey began as a local guide in my hometown, and over the years, I have gained extensive experience guiding visitors throughout the Omo Valley and other parts of Ethiopia. As a local guide, I believe that traveling is about more than visiting places and taking photographs. It is about meeting people, learning their stories, understanding their traditions, and building meaningful connections. I enjoy introducing travelers to the Mursi, Hamar, Karo, Dassanech, Banna, Konso, and other communities while encouraging respectful and responsible cultural tourism. Through Omo Valley Tour Ethiopia, I organize private, customized cultural tours designed around each traveler's interests, schedule, and budget. My goal is to provide personal service, local knowledge, authentic experiences, and a deeper understanding of Ethiopia's extraordinary cultural diversity. Being originally from the Omo Valley allows me to share not only my professional experience but also my personal connection to the region and its people.
