An Excellent Safari Experience – Highly Recommended
We had an excellent safari experience with African Hagyko Safaris, and we were extremely satisfied with the entire trip from the planning stage to the very end of the safari. First of all, Bernard was outstanding throughout the whole process. His responses were always very quick, polite, and professional. We had quite a few requests and questions before the trip, including changes to the accommodation and itinerary, and he always listened carefully and did his best to accommodate our preferences. He handled everything efficiently and moved things forward very quickly, which made us feel that we were in reliable and capable hands. We really appreciated his flexibility and professionalism. Our driver-guide, Wachira, was also fantastic. He has extensive knowledge of wildlife and explained the animals and their behavior clearly, often adding some humor and jokes that made the game drives even more enjoyable. Whenever we had questions, he took the time to answer them thoroughly. What impressed us particularly was his ability to find the best possible position for wildlife viewing. Whenever something interesting was happening, he reacted quickly and positioned the vehicle extremely well, giving us some amazing views and photo opportunities. He can also speak a little Japanese, which was a nice surprise and may be especially reassuring for Japanese travelers. The accommodations were also excellent. We were very happy with all of the properties we stayed at. Mosquito protection was well arranged at each accommodation, which made us feel comfortable and secure, and the food was consistently delicious. And, of course, the wildlife experience itself was incredible. We were able to see the Big Five, as well as many other animals including crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, and many more. Unfortunately, we did not get to see a successful hunt from beginning to end, but we did witness predators chasing their prey and also saw animals feeding after a hunt. These were still fascinating and unforgettable experiences. Overall, we saw far more wildlife than we had expected and had many memorable encounters. In terms of price, their quotation was higher than some of the other safari companies we considered. However, after experiencing the safari ourselves, we felt that the quality and value we received actually exceeded the price we paid. The excellent coordination, knowledgeable and skilled guide, comfortable accommodations, private safari experience, and attention to our individual requests made the trip exceptionally worthwhile. Looking back, we are extremely satisfied with our decision to choose African Hagyko Safaris. We would definitely love to come back to Kenya and go on safari with them again. Whether you are visiting Kenya for your first safari or are already an experienced safari traveler, we can confidently recommend African Hagyko Safaris. They provided us with a well-organized, high-quality, and truly memorable safari experience. Thank you very much to Bernard and Wachira for making our trip so special!

What an amazing experience!!!
Wow what an experience! Everything ran very smoothly in terms of communication and pick-ups, and our tour operator Bernard was knowledgeable and good company. We were also so impressed by the quality of accommodations, they were so much more luxe than we were expecting! And great food!! Overall we were so happy with our choice of operator, and would re-book with them for sure if we were fortunate enough to come back.

David is warm-hearted, enthusiastic, sociable, knowledgable, and above all, trustworthy and honest.
David is the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He is extremely knowledgable and will have a good answer for any question you ask. He has been a tour driver for 15+ years, so he can tell you history and details about the city that a less-experienced driver might not know about. For your safari at Nairobi National Park, he will do a great job at pointing out distant or hidden animals due to his familiarity with the animals’ living habits and his astute eye. David is friendly and amiable, and every interaction you have with him is sure to be pleasant. However, the best part about touring with David is how passionately he looks out for his clients. He will inform you of what prices are reasonable for shopping and services so you won’t be taken advantage of by vendors who grossly overcharge. David genuinely cares for his clients’ wellbeing, happiness, and safety, and he will take care of you like you are family. I am truly impressed with David as both a tour guide and a good, stand-up person. You will not regret booking with David.

James and Harrison were our drivers for our 10 day journey through the mountain dirt roads of Eburru, the busy and challenging highways across the Great Rift Valley, the city streets of Nairobi and the safari adventures in Nakuru. They were highly knowledgeable of every animal, every question about culture. They were able to answer clearly with an understandable accent, and good English. They had fun personalities and it was easy to talk to them about just about anything. They were always reliable and on time. When I was sick and needed medical attention they immediately went out of their way to get me to the right pharmacy. We will definitely use them again!

We had the trip of a lifetime with African Hagyko Safaris. From my very first communication with the company, I was incredibly impressed. Bernard’s professionalism, prompt replies, and genuinely courteous support were far above and beyond any other safari company I had compared. He answered every question with care and made the entire planning process feel seamless and trustworthy. Once on safari, our guide Harrison made the experience unforgettable. With 30 years of experience, his knowledge of the wildlife, landscape, and animal behavior was extraordinary. He made sure we left not only with amazing pictures, but with a real education and appreciation for everything we were seeing. Harrison is also just a lovely human being. During one part of the trip, after heavy rains, he took the time to help a junior guide get his safari jeep unstuck from a creek — which spoke volumes about his kindness, humility, and character. Everything about this experience was 5-star. We are so grateful, and we will absolutely book with African Hagyko Safaris again. Highly, highly recommended.

The first contacts were amazing with Bernard - reactivity, easy communication, flexibility, reliability. Bernard provides quotes and answers so quickly, it is a pleasure to organize a trip with him. I hope every of my future trips will be assisted with Bernard… We feel considered, and expected. Everything is perfect and he is so arranging. Then, upon our arrival, we had an amazing welcome, as if we were coming home. Bernard welcomed us and introduced us to our guide, Sam. During our 4-day safari, Sam was really amazing. He went above and beyond to show us the best scenes of animal life. He explained us so many things about the secrets of the wildlife, that was really impressive. He is kind, flexible and really reliable. He showed an amazing sense of service, and a deep expertise in the safari. Finally, our trip would not have been the same without those guys. They are the best, and they really made us feel home.
