We did a 2 day safari and we have seen so many animals! The two days were totally worth it. We even saw a leopard and hyenas. The tourgides, Godbless and Owen, were very kind and could provide us with a lot of information about the animals, insects and plants.

We went on a 4-day safari to Mikumi, and we couldn’t be more delighted with the experience. From the moment we got in touch with Winnie, she was incredibly responsive and helpful, patiently answering all our questions and ensuring everything was perfectly organized. She connected us with our guide, William, who picked us up at our apartment in Dar es Salaam and accompanied us throughout the weekend. Our visit to the Maasai village was absolutely fascinating. Everyone we met there was so warm and welcoming, making the experience truly memorable. Over the next two days, we explored Mikumi National Park, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. We saw an incredible variety of animals and birds, and William shared a wealth of knowledge about the wildlife, their behaviors, and the ecosystem. What stood out the most was William’s knowledge and deep respect for the animals and their natural habitat, ensuring a responsible and enriching safari. Since the tour was private, we could ask as many questions as we wanted and customize the itinerary to suit our preferences, which made the trip even more special. William really made sure that we had the best experience. When it was time to return to Dar es Salaam, William went above and beyond by helping us secure ferry tickets to Zanzibar and ensuring we reached the terminal safely. His thoughtfulness and professionalism truly made a difference. I wholeheartedly recommend booking your safari with Kihindo Tours. Amazing experience!
Our Safari Experience with Kihindo Tours was truly amazing. Winnies communication was very helpful from start to finish, she always was there to help and wanted to know what we thought about different things. Our guide William did everything he could do to give us a perfect experience. With his help we managed to have a look at most of the animals in the national parc. Our highlight were the sleeping lions. We can highly recommend travelling with Kihindo tours and safaris!

Perfectly organized, professional and funny trip
All in all, it was one of the best trips i have ever had. We did a three-days tour to Mikumi and it was perfectly organized from the booking until the end. Godfrey and William picked us up at our hotel in DarEsSalaam and after that we had a funny and very informative drive to mikumi. At the second day, the Safari, godfrey and William tried all their best to see a Lot of animals, and of course, we saw lots of different animals. Godfrey also gave us lots of Information about the animals, trees and enviornment. Willi and Gody were very punctual so helpful. So they booked and took us to the Ferry to zanzibar. The accomodation was a simple but very cozy. You have everything you need and you do Not spend lots of time there. All in all, i say thank you for everything and i highly recommend KIHINDO, Godfrey and William!

My boyfriend and I did a two day trip - 1 day in Mikumi and 1 day in the Uluguru Mountains. Everything was wonderful! Kihindo is very on top of communication and took care of everything - meals, transport, etc. We were surprised to learn our safari was private, which made it even better! Considering it also included a night stay in a nice lodge, we thought it was well worth the price for everything we got. Our tour guides were awesome - so knowledgeable and kind! Shoutout to Danford, our guide at Mikumi, who went out of his way so we could go back to see the hippos and crocs at the end of the day, then took us for an up close of the lions! We were happy with the food the entire trip, particularly want to shout out Camp Bastian, where we stayed for a night. Our tour guide for the second day was great and took many photos for us! Will say that the hike to the waterfall is all uphill, but definitely worth it to get to pass through the area and greet the local people! The waterfall was awesome and there were some amazing views on the way up. Highly recommend this company!

Amazing 3-day Safari in Nyerere Nationalpark
Me and my friend booked the 3-day safari in Nyerere (Selous) Nationalpark with a boat Safari, Game Drive and Walking Safari. The tour was amazing and we got the chance to see a lot of animals. We saw the 4 animals out of the Big Five, that are living in the Nationalpark. Out Tourguide Isaya was great, he knows the place really well and showed us so many animals, explained a lot about them and tried to give us an unique experience. Most of the time we were completely alone with the animals. Only for the lions, there were a lot of other cars, but that’s because everyone would love to see them so the guides communicate with eachother in case one finds them. The accommodation was great as well and everyone is super friendly. The food was really good, for the whole day game drive they gave us a lunch box, which was a full meal. To summarize, this tour is definitely worth it and I would book it again! Especially our tour guide Isaya was amazing and I would love to do a Safari with him again. You will see a lot of animals for sure, while not disturbing them too much.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET
The two days in Mikumi were really special, Winnie from kihindo tours always informed us with such affection that we did not hesitate to choose this company. Our driver, Michael, knows the park so well that thanks to him we were able to see lions, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, hippos... he knew perfectly where to wait patiently, without chasing us, until the animals came and passed by where we were, but the most important thing is what a good person he is, we also had the privilege of having Haissac as a Spanish translator guide, since our English is horrible, he is Masai and we learned many things with him about the park, the animals, Masai culture, Tanzanian music... He is a wonderful person. We will never forget these days with them, they made us enjoy so much that we would like other people to live this experience too. Thank you. Magical, Authentic and Unforgettable !
Still feeling nostalgic about my trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar last May...!! A huge thank you to the entire local team, and especially to Isaya and Kapende, for this absolutely magical experience! This journey exceeded all my expectations: a rich and well-crafted itinerary, blending wild nature, meaningful encounters, and relaxing moments. We were a small group of six travelers, which made the experience all the more friendly and smooth, traveling together in one vehicle always accompanied by our incredible guides. The safaris gave us unforgettable scenes: majestic lions, entire families of elephants, giraffes, zebras, ... and of course the famous "Pumbaa" and "Timon" ! All in the middle of breathtaking landscapes. It was also the cultural and human moments that truly left a mark on me — like visiting Stone Town in Zanzibar or our immersion in a Maasai village in the heart of Mikumi National Park in Tanzania. I was touched by the kindness of everyone we met along the way, the beauty of the accommodations that blended with the local culture and natural surroundings, and above all, the constant feeling of being safe and well taken care of. We discovered also the famous way of life: Hakuna Matata!! Great Experience with Kihindo Tours and Safaris in Mikumi National Park
We had an absolutely wonderful experience during our Mikumi National Park safari, thanks to Michael, our exceptional guide and driver. He picked us up at the hotel where we were staying in Dar es Salaam and made sure we got back in time for our ferry to Zanzibar. Driving to the park was a great way to travel, as it allowed us to see the countryside and rural life along the way. Michael’s knowledge of the park, its wildlife, and the local ecosystem was truly impressive. He was patient and adjusted the pace of the tour to suit us, giving us plenty of time to take photographs and record videos of the animals. The park is rich in wildlife in every direction and is also home to a diverse range of birdlife. We were thrilled to spot three of the Big Five and plenty more animals. We also learned a lot from Michael about Tanzania and its cultures, and we enjoyed sharing stories from life back home. We truly appreciated his company during our safari and became good friends over the course of our trip. Winnie provided excellent support, answering all our questions promptly and ensuring the trip was well-planned. Her communication gave us confidence from start to finish. The professionalism, warmth, and expertise demonstrated by both Michael and Winnie made this a standout trip that we would highly recommend. Beautiful Safari
We had an amazing 3-day safari experience at Nyerere National Park! The highlight was definitely the boat safari on the Rufiji River, where we got to see countless hippos and crocodiles up close in their natural environment – truly breathtaking. The full-day game drive was equally incredible. We were lucky enough to spot everything we had hoped for: elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, lions, warthogs, antelopes, and of course, more crocodiles. It was like living a dream, surrounded by the beauty of African wildlife. On the last day, we enjoyed a fun and unique walking safari in the bush with a Bushman, which gave us a completely different perspective of the park and its ecosystem. Our accommodation was clean, comfortable, and very functional – we couldn’t have asked for better. The food was delicious, fresh, and authentic. We were always provided with packed lunches during the safaris, and even for the transfer back to the airport, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting safari adventure that combines incredible wildlife encounters with great value for money.

Incredible nature sights and educative tour guide in Mikumi National park
I traveled with Kihindo Tours and Safaris to Mikumi National Park in December, accompanied by three friends. Our tour guide, William, picked us up from our accommodation in Dar es Salaam early in the morning, around 6 a.m., and we drove together to our hotel near the park. In the evening, we visited a Maasai village where we had the opportunity to take part in a Maasai tour. The guide taught us about their way of life and showed us around, which was an enriching experience. We then returned to the hotel and enjoyed dinner at their restaurant. The following day began with breakfast at 6 a.m., followed by a short drive to the national park. On the way, we already saw several animals, including zebras, antelopes, and giraffes. We quickly realized that luck was on our side, as we managed to spot four of the Big Five in just a few hours (there are no rhinos in Mikumi, which is the fifth of the Big Five). Throughout the day, William, our exceptional guide, took the time to explain the characteristics of each animal we encountered and answered all of our questions with great care. Lunch was served at a restaurant within the park, where we were accompanied by monkeys roaming around the area, all while enjoying a beautiful view of the savannah. We ended the game drive around 5 pm and were served dinner back at the hotel. On the second day of the safari, the weather turned rainy, but this did not bother us, as we were in a vehicle with a roof—unlike most other safari companies we observed. It was actually quite beautiful to witness the dramatic transformation of the landscape as the rain began, and it added to the surreal feeling of being immersed in nature. We informed William that we wanted to experience a more relaxed, "slow TV"-style safari, simply watching the animals at our own pace, which he was more than happy to accommodate. His flexibility and attentiveness made the experience even more enjoyable, and I appreciated this personal touch, which was a major advantage of having a private guide. On the third day, we had a travel day, as we drove back to Dar es Salaam and were dropped off at the ferry terminal for our trip to Zanzibar. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable experience, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Kihindo Tours and Safaris to anyone considering a safari in Tanzania.

Professional and safe operator
We chose Kihindo because they were the first to contact us and provided us a detailed travel plan and quote for the safari. Kihibdos quote was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive one we received, they offered us good price and very good communication at all times. Winnie did amazing job in organazing our tour in short notice! We chose the 2 day, one night in Mikumi National Park, which proved to be very good value for money spent. We were transported to the park from Dar safely and in good time by our safari driver, William. The safari was an amazing experience, we got to see 16 lions, hundreds of seepras and impalas, many giraffes, elephants, hippos and much more. Driver William was very professional and got us through some of the most difficult rain soaked muddy roads. William also provided us information on the animals we saw at the park and most importantly knew where to find the animals. Exceeded every possible expectation
From the moment we wanted to book the safari, the Kihindo team were very helpful answering all our questions and making us feel assured about the decision. They picked us up from Dar es Salaam airport and as we were running a little late to catch the train, they did everything possible to make sure we get on the train. Every member of staff was very friendly and helpful. But once we reached the actual safari it went to the other level. Our guide Saloniki created very comfortable environment and made sure we were on the same page, about what’s going to happen, from the beginning. As we read before that November isn’t the number one month to see all the animals, we had acknowledged that it may happen that we won’t be able to see all animals we would like. But Saloniki made that happen. He took us exactly to the animals we had wished to see for - lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippos and all the antelopes, buffaloes. Throughout the safari he always did like we had asked and took our wishes into account. Once we arrived to our accommodation, the Camp Lilac, the staff welcomed us with arms wide open, singing and dancing to us. And the cabin is nice and the dinner is pretty romantic ;) In conclusion the Kihindo team have exceeded our expectations and made this trip incredible. The biggest value we’d say are the people we’ve met during the safari. Thank you Saloniki and all the Kihindo team for the effort! We would 100% all heartedly recommend everyone to book a safari with them.
