Great 11-days Kruger safari tour!

Very well organized Kruger safari tour! We've had loads of game drives in different areas of the park, seeing a lot of different animals including the big 5. The very nice guide showed and explained to us all the things to be seen in Kruger national park, and at night we sat by the fire enjoying barbecue while listening to stories about the land and the park. The camping equipment is very nice and generous, and bungalow accomodation can be arranged individually.

Wonderful Trip , very knowledgeable guide

We had a wonderful 6 gay Safari in Kruger. Ryan the owner, guide us through the park and kept us amazed with his story telling and his in depth knowledge of the wild life. We saw everything, including black rhinos, leopards, and lions. Many many elephants, up to 60 passing by one early morning. Camping was fun and food was good...best was the company. We recommend , you will have a very nice time.

We Had a Incredible time!

Our Stay with wild planet safari was amazing, from day one of the booking the communication through email with Thala was amazing, we were totally informed and given any information that we needed and even helped us book a hotel the night before our safari pick up - which offered a airport shuttle making it super easy to get too after our flight. The drive to Kruger was long but went so quickly!!, Our room in Kruger was lovely and big! with a great area outside where we had most of our meals. We managed to see the Big 5 and loads more during our 2night 3day tour and learnt so many new things from our amazing guide Ryan who was able to answer any of our questions!. We were treated to some amazing food throughout our stay, eating breakfast by the river during a massive rain downpour, and eating lunch with bush pigs and monkeys nearby. Sunny and Brendan were also super lovely and great both great to talk to with lots of stories! Each drive was just as good as the one before, always seeing something new, and loved how everyone got excited for any of the animals that we saw, - especially the wild dogs!!. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for longer! and if we ever get the chance to come again then it will be with the Wild Planet Safari and for longer!! , Thank you Guys for making our trip wonderful!

Excellent guides and trip itinerary

The safari was better than we'd hoped for! We could not have asked for better guides- Ruan and Federica were AMAZING! The trip itinerary was well-planned and we really feel like we got to experience the best that the Kruger had to offer! Great service, food and sightings!

Our trip with Wild Planet Safari surpassed our expectations. Thale was helpful and quick to respond prior to our trip and Chris and Ben looked after us brilliantly from the moment they picked us up to when they dropped us off 5 days later. We saw some wonderful scenery on the Panorama Route and all of the big 5 (and many other animals too) in Kruger. Chris worked very hard to try and find leopard and rhino which we were most keen to see and was so excited for us when we did! Unforgettable memories

Fantastic experience for our family of 4

Our family of 4--from Colorado, USA-- had an excellent adventure with Wild Planet Safari in Kruger. The staff was amazing and we learned as much about life in South Africa as we did about the wildlife. Our two daughters (13 and 10) had a great time and everyone was very accomodating. I highly recommend it.

Amazing Safari Experience All-Around

We traveled to South Africa in October '22, and immensely joined our time with the Wild Planet Safari crew. This trip was years in the making (we were meant to go in 2020), and Thale was beyond helpful in making it happen for us in 2022! Our guide, Chris, was attentive, friendly, had a great sense of humor, and was incredibly knowledgeable! Chris could spot any animal, no matter the size, or time of day! We were so thankful to see so many beautiful animals - whether it was countless lions, giraffes, (baby) elephants, leopards, birds, or more. Every sighting is truly a privilege! The vibe with the entire Wild Planet Safari crew felt very familial. We enjoyed a few family-style meals together with other safari goers, and the cooking felt even more special, being in the great outdoors. Every day, we loved the full safari experience starting before sunrise until sunset (with delicious meals in between). Expect an unforgettable experience with lasting friendships thanks to the entire crew. I have a feeling we'll talk about this trip forever! I'd highly recommend Wild Planet Safari, and would return to do another safari in a heartbeat!

a perfect customized trip in a friendly ambience

Thales and Ryan proposed a safari tour which responded perfectly to my expectations. Everything was well organised although my request was at very short notice and with little flexibility from my side. They are very well organised, with new and safe material which made me feel relax. I appreciated their good knowledge of wildlife and birds of South Africa. Without them I would'nt have been able to discover all what I saw and it was a pleasure to travel with them. Efficient, helpful and flexible.

An amazing time on a 7 day private Safari, staying both inside Kruger in 3 camps in ensuited Bungalows with airconditioning (which we needed), and outside Kruger in a private gamepark, so we had the best of both worlds. Because of our timeline and where we wanted to go we had to use a tour operator that could organise this. I had concerns about that but with a few emails back and forth Thale had everything planned for us. The experience of a private tour was good. We flew from and back to Johannesburg rather than do the road trip to Kruger. Rafael, our guide/driver inside Kruger was so knowledgeable about everything, plants, insects, birds and the animals. The big animals are what most people come to see and we did have great success with that but birding (which was of interest) was great too with our guide. Through Kruger the days were long. We had gamedrives at 4.30am and then often moving between camps so drives through the day and then evening also but there is always the excitement of seeing wildlife. It was also very hot when we were there. We saw the big 5 but also much more. The gamepark allowed for a different perspective with their group drives and experiences. Don't hesitate about booking a trip with Wild Planet Safari.

Ryan is a super nice guy who felt like family by the end of our safari!

From the moment I spoke with Thale I knew I had made the right choice! She was so sweet and so helpful in planning our safari. She helped me figure out how many days I would need for what I wanted to see and do, all while making it incredibly affordable! She also suggested the walking safari which Is a must do! We did a 6 day safari and I will never forget it, Ever! Ryan was incredible and so knowledgeable about every animal, and man could that guy spot them! He just seemed to know the park like the back of his hand, where the animals would be and when they would be there. We got up before sunrise and hit the park for a few hours, came back to breakfast ready to be served to us, then hit the park again, came back to lunch served to us, then hit the park till sunset! Eat,Sleep,Safari 3 times a day!!! Ryan spotted every animal you could think of! We saw lions eating their kill and even saw a leopard hunt a Dyka and carry it up a tree! I will cherish the memories for the rest of my life! Africa will always have a piece of my heart because of the experience Ryan provided for us! Don’t wait… Just book it, you won’t regret it

It was perfect!

We booked a 4-day safari with Wild Planet, and Eric made it the most wonderful experience. He was a great safari guide, the best cook and we appreciated the time with him very much. He gave us so many great moments and a lot of infomation; we saw the magnificent seven and are just so grateful. After such intense and wonderful days together, it was really hard to say goodbye. Fantastic in every way.

My husband and I wanted to have a "real" safari experience. We wanted a more personalized trip. Wild Planet Safari offers you just that. In a private car , Ryan Kerr took us step by step on this wonderful journey while sharing with us all his knowledge about the animals and the African way of life. Our schedule was flexible and at times he and his helper cooked us a breakfast in the most beautiful and picturesque places. Ryan took care of us like we were his family, he is warm, kind, extremely organized and someone who you want to be friends with. I called him our own "African Crocodile Dundee" A real fantastic trip. Next year wenare planing a family trip with Wild Planet Safari for our children and grandchildren.

Professional, responsible and caring tour of Kruger.

We cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Wild Planet Safari in Kruger National Park. From our initial enquiries and follow up questions and information, to being collected at our hotel in Johannesburg, to being dropped off at the airport, we were extremely well looked after. Ryan and Benjamin, catered well for my gluten intolerance and my wife’s vegetarian diet. The meals were varied and well prepared. The accommodation they arranged was comfortable and met our needs perfectly. Ryan’s guiding was superb. He knew the likely spots and found an enormous variety of animals and birds. He shared his vast knowledge with us which made our experience so much richer. Benjamin’s cooking and care were matched only by his gentle, sunny disposition. An awesome experience - and don't let a disability put you off going on safari with Wild Planet!

Out of all the companies offering guided safaris in South Africa I'm so glad we chose Wild Planet Safari. From the minute Ryan picked us up from Jo'burg airport to when we were dropped off everything was taken care of and we were very well looked after - that made the trip for me as I am disabled with limited mobility and did need extra help, which was offered with no fuss and before I even asked for it. Somehow Ryan and Lungisani knew what I required. Being a private tour I didn't feel I was holding anyone up - apart from my travelling buddy! - and there was plenty of space in the van for my mobility scooter and wheelchair. Every drive - and we did many on our 6 day tour - was full of fantastic wildlife. We saw the Big 5 and so much more. Ryan's passion for what he does so well is infectious, and his knowledge of the wildlife, and Africa, is incredible; couple that with his and Lungisani's spotting skills and it makes for an amazing experience. Our bungalow accommodation was very comfortable, clean and spacious, and every meal they prepared was fresh, healthy and delicious. We didn't have to lift a finger. I can't fault anything about our trip - including our communication with Thale which was efficient and prompt - and don't let a disability put you off going on safari - just make sure you book direct with Wild Planet Safari.

We really didn't know what to expect when we booked with Thale but she gave us many options to choose from and we settled on a four day North Kruger tour. It was fantastic from start to finish. Our booking communication with Thale (she actually delivered a child and was still managed to stay in contact with us) ,to our guide Kegan's experience and sense of humor and Ryan cooking us traditional South African meals it was all wonderful. Our experience with Wild Planet Safari was perfect from beginning to end. Our guides Chris and Benjamin helped to make our first safari amazing. Chris was just as invested in finding all of the animals, and shows that he has a passion for the bush. We asked for a leopard, and Chris found us a leopard. We asked for a honey badger, Chris said it was unlikely but found us a honey badger. We asked for an animal eating another animal, and Chris found us a leopard eating an impala in a tree. Eventually, our family started calling Chris "magic" because he delivered every animal we asked for despite the unpredictableness of the animals. Benjamin made delicious food and every meal was a treat. We couldn't wait to go home and try to repeat his amazing recipes. He worked hard throughout the whole trip, and brought so much laughter to our family. We never had to lift a finger to help clean or cook, and he worked so hard to make us a table full of food at every meal, and even dessert after dinner. Together, Chris and Benjamin added humor and knowledge to our trip, making our safari unforgettable. These two guides, and the company as a whole, will make sure your trip is perfect too.

Wonderful experience!

I cannot say enough how wonderful this experience was. Booking was easy and secure, and every part of the journey thereafter made the beginning of our honeymoon truly an experience we will never forget. From airport pickup/drop-off and transfers, to the incredible meals prepared we felt taken care of. While they are wild animals who are under no one's control, it is because of our truly knowledgeable tour guides that we were able to see the Big 5 plus in such a short time. There is no other tour to take....believe me. We will be back!

Fantastic experience with caring, knowledgeable people

I treated my family to the experience of a lifetime, choosing Wild Planet Safari and I am so pleased I did. We were a group of 5 adults and one child aged 9. From the first emails with Thale, nothing was too much trouble and we developed a 'plan' together to cater for us from our flights from UK into the Kruger to our flight out 6 days later. Thale recommended the Call of the Wild for our first 2 nights stay. This was a very special place and offered us our first sightings of wild life in the garden, including giraffe and zebra! We went to see endangered animals and a boat trip, all in the capable hands of Raff, our guide for the time in the Krugar. We then set off for 3 nights in Krugar park and were joined by Hope who was to be our resident chef. He had a tough job on his hands, with 2 vegetarians and one very fussy 9 year old boy. Hope and Raff provided us with fantastic food including a BBQ and picnics. We all loved the food and Hope gave me a recipe for his special chicken dish! On the drives, we saw all the usual game but were enthralled by not one pair, but 2 pairs of mating lions. One couple were lying on the edge of the road exhausted from their efforts! We were booked on a night drive (not requested but Thale thought it would add to our experience). We found 5 lions walking in the road on a mission! You could have heard a pin drop despite a big vehicle with around 20 people on board. At all times, Raff was respectful of the animals and added to our sightings with sharing his extensive knowledge of animals, birds and trees! We could not have wished for a better guide. The pair remained with us until we were safely through security for our onward flight. I think we will all be talking about this experience for years to come so if you are looking for a small, caring company who make everything work smoothly, I would recommend Wild Planet!

We had an amazing 3 days in Kruger

The experience with Wild Planet Safari was wonderful. Communication leading up to our trip was easy and Thale was always quick to reply with helpful information. Very accommodating. My family and I completed a 3 day Kruger Safari with Wild Planet Safari in March 2019. It was an amazing. I didn’t have very high expectations for we only had 3 days in Kruger but we saw many animals and several times over. Our guide Chris’ spotting ability is very impressive. The entire trip was great from start to finish, accommodation is great, meals are delicious, above our expectations, safari drives are amazing, I have some incredible photos and wonderful memories from this trip.
