Rise early for a game drive through Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda's most accessible and wildlife-rich reserves. Your guide will navigate the park's diverse habitats, tracking zebras, impalas, buffalo, and the elusive leopard. Mid-morning, enjoy a nature walk along the lake shore where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species including the African fish eagle. The afternoon offers relaxation or optional boat safari on the lake itself, providing unique perspectives of the park's wildlife.

After breakfast, depart Lake Mburo heading southwest toward the misty highlands of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes, passing through Fort Portal and small rural communities. You'll climb in altitude as you approach Bwindi, experiencing changing vegetation and climate. Arrive at your forest lodge by late afternoon, settle in, and receive a detailed briefing about tomorrow's gorilla trekking experience, including physical preparation and forest etiquette.

This is the highlight of your safari. Before dawn, you'll be equipped and briefed by experienced trackers, then venture into the primordial rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Trekking through dense vegetation, you'll follow gorilla family groups, moving quietly through the misty forest. The moment you encounter these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is truly transformative. After spending time observing their behavior, you'll return to the lodge, tired but exhilarated. The afternoon is reserved for rest and reflection on this extraordinary encounter.

Depart Bwindi after breakfast and journey northwest toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda's most visited and biodiverse park. The drive traverses the Rwenzori foothills, offering spectacular mountain views. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park's grassy plains and acacia woodlands. You may encounter lions, buffalo, elephants, and numerous antelope species. The park's unique geography, straddling the equator, creates diverse ecosystems perfect for wildlife viewing and photography.

Travel to Kibale National Park, one of Africa's most important primate habitats. After a morning briefing, embark on a guided chimpanzee trek through the lush forest canopy. Listen for the distinctive pant-hoots of chimp families as you navigate forest trails. Return to your lodge for breakfast, then begin your journey back toward Kampala and Entebbe. The drive allows time to reflect on your incredible week of discoveries. You'll arrive in Entebbe with time for final shopping or rest before your international departure.
