Introduction

Andasibe-Mantadia Lodge Rates 2027: Where to Stay and Book is a practical guide for planning a rainforest trip in eastern Madagascar. It explains the main price bands, the best-known lodge options, and the difference between booking a room and booking a full safari.

Andasibe is a useful stop for travelers who want wildlife without a long stay in one park. The town sits near forest reserves, walking trails, and lodges that suit different budgets. Mantadia Lodge is the clearest published comfort option for 2027 planning. Hotel Orchidees is identified as a lower-range choice, while Andasibe Hotel lists en-suite rooms with hot water and other room facilities for 2027 and 2028.

As of October 2026, the most useful planning figure is the full range of $85 to $1,100 per night. That gap is large. Room type, lodge level, meal plans, and safari services can change the final bill. The guide below helps you compare those costs before you request a quote.

Quick answer: A five-day Andasibe-Mantadia safari costs $1,500 to $2,000 per person with shared accommodation in 2027. Lodge-only rates run from $85 to $1,100 per night. September through November is the preferred travel period for cooler days and lemur sightings.

What are Andasibe-Mantadia lodge rates in 2027?

Andasibe-Mantadia lodge rates in 2027 range from $85 to $1,100 per night. Budget rooms suit travelers who spend most of the day in the forest. Mid-range lodges add more comfort, while luxury properties charge more for setting, rooms, and service. The price range gives you room to match your stay with your safari budget.

Compare five-day Andasibe-Mantadia safari costs for 2027 before choosing a room-only stay.

Price bands to use when planning

The table shows why one average price can mislead you. A low room rate may cover only the room, while a safari package can include transport, guiding, park visits, and meals. Ask for the full list before you compare two offers.

Known for: Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is known for rainforest walks and lemur viewing. The wider Andasibe area also gives visitors access to nearby forest sites. SafariFind lists Andasibe-Mantadia National Park packages for travelers who want to combine lodging with guided activities.

Why the price range matters

The difference between $85 and $1,100 per night can change your whole trip plan. A two-night budget stay may leave more money for private guiding. A higher lodge rate may suit travelers who prefer more time at the property after long forest walks.

Andasibe-Mantadia National Park is best enjoyed with enough time for day and night walks. Your lodge location matters too. A property near the park can reduce road time, while a hotel in town may work better for travelers watching costs.

September through November is the preferred period for cooler weather and lemur sightings. Those months are useful for travelers who want comfortable walks and a strong chance to focus their trip on rainforest wildlife.

What are the main lodge options and booking details?

Mantadia Lodge is the clearest published comfort option for 2027 planning, with reported starting rates of $99 and $159 per night. The lodge is on Route du Perinet II in Andasibe, Madagascar. Booking.com gives its location a 9.2 out of 10 rating from 149 reviews.

Mantadia Lodge Andasibe

Mantadia Lodge suits travelers who want a more comfortable base near the rainforest. Its location is a key part of the choice. Booking.com records the 9.2 location score, which helps explain why travelers compare it with other Andasibe properties.

TourCompass reports that 80% of ingredients used at Mantadia Lodge come from within 30 kilometers of the property. That detail may matter to travelers who value local sourcing and a closer link with the Andasibe area.

Mantadia Lodge is also a useful choice for a trip with private guiding. You can spend more on a guide and forest walks, rather than choosing the highest room category. Ask for a room rate and a full package rate as separate figures.

Longoza Ecolodge

Longoza Ecolodge has reported upgrade prices of £69 per person per night for a Standard Room and £159 per person per night for a Suite Room. These figures are useful when comparing room upgrades inside a planned Madagascar itinerary.

The Longoza figures use pounds and the wider Andasibe lodge range uses dollars. Do not compare the numbers as if they were the same currency. Request one quote in your preferred currency, then check whether meals, guiding, and transfers sit inside the price.

Hotel Orchidees and Andasibe Hotel

Hotel Orchidees is identified as a lower-range Andasibe choice in the 2027 lodge comparison. It may suit travelers who want to keep more of their budget for transport and guided walks. Compare its room details with the rest of your itinerary before you book.

Andasibe Hotel lists en-suite rooms with hot running water, toilets, telephone, satellite television, air conditioning, minibar, safe, and living area for 2027 and 2028. These details make it worth checking for travelers who want familiar room facilities after a day outdoors.

Room facilities can matter more than a small nightly price difference. Hot water, air conditioning, and a private bathroom may be useful after wet forest walks. Families should also check room layout, meal times, and the travel time to each planned activity.

Compare the options by travel style

Budget travelers should focus on a clean base, access to the forest, and a clear meal plan. Couples may prefer Mantadia Lodge because its reported starting rates provide a known comfort benchmark. Families should compare room space and bathroom facilities first.

Travelers planning a wider route can also read the Analamazaotra National Park 2027 guide. It helps place Andasibe lodge costs beside the area’s wider tour plans.

In every case, request the total cost. A room price alone does not show what you will pay for a complete safari.

How should you book an Andasibe-Mantadia stay?

Book an Andasibe-Mantadia stay by setting a total budget first, then choosing a lodge level and safari plan. A five-day package with shared accommodation costs $1,500 to $2,000 per person in 2027. Single occupancy adds about 30% to 40%.

Start with the trip length

Five days is a useful planning point because the current package data uses that length. It gives you time to include Andasibe-Mantadia National Park without treating the forest as a quick stop. A shorter visit may reduce the room bill, but it can leave less time for guided walks.

Shared accommodation gives the clearest value for solo travelers who do not need a private room. Single occupancy costs more, so compare the extra amount against the comfort it provides. Couples should ask whether the quoted package price already assumes two people sharing.

Set a lodge budget

Choose a nightly limit before you compare properties. The 2027 lodge range starts around $85 and reaches $1,100. A fixed limit helps you avoid spending the full safari budget on the room alone.

• Use the lower price band when guided activities are your main priority.
• Use the mid-range band when you want comfort and a strong location.
• Consider the upper band when the lodge itself is a major part of your trip.

Then ask for a written breakdown. The quote should show the room, meals, transport, park activities, guide costs, and any extra nights. Clear details make it easier to compare operators and avoid paying for services you do not need.

Choose the right travel period

September through November is the preferred period for cooler weather and lemur sightings. Those months are a good starting point for travelers who want wildlife walks without the hottest conditions.

Keep your plans flexible around the forest. Lemur sightings are wildlife experiences, not fixed appointments. A good guide can help you use the time well, but no honest operator should promise a specific animal encounter.

Check the booking details

Before you confirm a lodge, check the cancellation terms, payment schedule, room type, meal plan, and transfer plan. Also check whether the price is per room or per person. This simple step prevents many errors in couple and family bookings.

SafariFind connects travelers with verified tour operators, package details, and authentic reviews. Compare Andasibe-Mantadia lodge rates for 2027 when you need a fast view of budget, mid-range, and luxury choices.

Use a simple booking checklist

1. Choose September, October, or November if cooler weather matters.
2. Set a nightly lodge limit between $85 and $1,100.
3. Compare a room-only quote with a five-day safari quote.
4. Ask how single occupancy changes the total.
5. Read recent traveler reviews before you pay a deposit.

Good planning does not mean choosing the cheapest room. It means matching the lodge, guide, and travel dates to the trip you want.

What should you expect from a five-day safari package?

A five-day Andasibe-Mantadia safari costs $1,500 to $2,000 per person with shared accommodation in 2027. Single occupancy costs about 30% to 40% more. The package route can be easier than booking each room, transfer, and guide service alone.

Package planning

A package can bring the key parts of the trip into one plan. You can compare the lodge, transport, guide, and park visits together. This approach also helps travelers who are visiting Madagascar for the first time.

Room-only booking works well when you already have transport and a guide. It also suits travelers building a longer route across the country. For example, some visitors combine Andasibe with Ranomafana National Park or other Madagascar stops.

Andasibe-Mantadia National Park should remain the center of the local plan. Do not choose a distant lodge only because its room rate looks lower. A longer road transfer can reduce the time available for wildlife walks.

Questions to ask an operator

• Is the quoted rate per person or per room?
• Does the five-day plan use shared or single accommodation?
• Are meals included each day?
• Are forest walks and park fees included?
• How much does a private guide add?
• What happens if your travel dates change?

These questions turn a headline rate into a useful quote. They also make it easier to compare two operators on the same terms.
