Professional, Reliable, and Safe! Safari Guide, Victor, was the real deal!
Just came back from our 8 day Safari in Tanzania. We started off in Tarangire National park, then went to Ngorogoro Crater, and then into the Serengeti with the Mara River. We saw EVERYTHING -- the big 5, giraffes, zebras, and even the rarest Serval cat. I cannot emphasize this enough: CHOOSING A GOOD GUIDE MATTERS. Here's how things work: your guide drives you around, looks around for animals, tells you where they are, fights their way around other guides to get you the best view, radio's in or messages his buddies if they find sightings of major animals, drives you to your lodge, etc. With Pangolin Safaris, we hand selected our guide through recommendations and we clearly see now why Victor was highly sought after. His experience (20+ years) blew many other guides from other companies out of the water. They were relying on him to tell them where the animals were, following him, getting advice from him. He is clearly a leader in the industry. He had many connections with other drivers and therefore was able to get us up close to so many animals -- oftentimes 15-20 minutes before many other cars got the notification. This allowed us plenty of time to watch lions and leopards and get all the best videos and photos. He pushed us and we pushed him. This made the experience a million times better when we challenge each other to make the most out of every day. When he dropped us off at the lodge, he would ask us what time we wanted to start. Then he would ask us what we wanted to see. Based off of this, he would challenge us to wake up a bit earlier so he can guarantee that we'd see what we wanted. It worked -- without fail. We would challenge him every day by saying "tomorrow we want to see X" and sure enough, without fail, he would summon up all his channels and Safari magic and take us to remote specific areas where we would precisely see X. For example, on our last day, we wanted to see vultures and hyenas EATING. This was very specific because we had practically seen everything else already. So Victor drove us to this location where it seemed no other cars were going. From there, we encountered 4 different instances of Hyenas literally feasting on a meal or running through the field carrying a zebra leg. We saw vultures feasting and then getting taken over by hyenas. He literally gave us exactly what we asked for. We were so impressed we started joking and asking him to show us Santa Clause and a Unicorn next! The last point I want to emphasize on is Safety. The roads between locations are 95% not paved and an experienced driver matters. On the road, we would see cars zoom past us only to see them with flat tires 3-4 miles later. We also saw drivers who had bubbles in their tires and when Victor address it with the driver, he said not to tell his clients because he didn't want them to know. Can you imagine your guide deliberately putting your safety at risk? That is one thing we REALLY appreciated from Victor with Pangolin Safaris. He said he changes his tires and shocks almost every client and has so much experience that he knows what tire pressure and how to maneuver the car to make sure his guests are always safe and can complete their Safari trip without any issues. Overall, Victor with Pangolin Safaris made the entire trip so memorable. He orchestrated everything for us and made us feel so special and safe. We will 100% be recommending this Safari company and driver to all our family and friends. After seeing the other drivers recklessness and inexperience -- we now know how LUCKY we were to be working with Victor and Pangolin Safaris.

From the very beginning, African Pangolin Safaris showed full professionalism. We had an amazing safari in Mikumi and Ruaha National Park. We also visited Udzungwa National Park and the Maasai village. Our driver-guide Mansoor turned out to be a great, very thoughtful driver and a great guide in the parks. He told us a lot about animals. We saw lions, elephants, kudu, buffalos, dik dik antelopes and lots of other animals. It was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend !!!

Tanzanian safaris just fell in love with this kind of vacation. Mansour's guide played a significant role. A man who knows and loves his job. I've always been actively looking for and finding animals. I waited as long as I needed to make a bunch of beautiful photos. I told a lot about animals, locals and the country. Communicates in English, but if necessary, will be able to find an interpreter into Russian. I would also like to thank him for his help in a difficult situation)) The next safari is only with him! I recommend it!!!

Did exactly what was written on the tin (plus more)!
Mansoor was our guide in all three national parks (Ruaha, Mikumi & Nyerere) for 9 days. We camped with the Maasai, relaxed with a beer whilst the hyena's were only 50m or so away, watched the lion's tuck into a tasty zebra and sat meters away whilst the crocodiles slid silently into the water. The canyon just outside of Iringa was impressive and certainly worth the stop. The walking safari with Didi was an experience not to be forgotton - whether it was him smoking the dried elephant poo, or him sticking his toe in it to test the temperature - all very informative in an amusing way. We would thoroughly recommend African Pangolin Safaris as they went beyond what was promised. Mansoor was exchanging tips all the time with other guides to provide the best experience for us, persevering to find the animals in their natural habitat. He even arranged for our 14 year old son who had a birthday whilst camping with the Maasai to become chief for the morning and a surprise birthday cake appeared!

Great trip, the schedule was very well organized , it comprised plenty of safaris in several national parks and a stay at a Maasai village. Everything run smoothly ; our drivers where also our guides who were very experienced and eager to answer to all my questions about wild life and local habits.It was a very pleasant experience.I fully recommend this tour operator if you want to explore Tanzania!

This experience was the best! We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, zebras. We recommend Kapande, he was our guide for 3 days. He took us to the most beautiful places in Mikumi Park. We definetly want to make other trips with him!!

Pangolins Safaris is an excellent operator which will match your expectations.
We had a wonderful experience with Pangolin Safaris. We took the three days Safari in Mikumi with night game drive and added a day for a hike in Udzungwa. They were very flexible and efficient in adapting the program keeping the trip at a very good price. Our driver Yunus drove us smoothly through Tanzanian tricky roads and thanks to his thorough knowledge of the park and animals we didn't miss anything of the great show of nature in the park. Overall it was a great experience wich perfectly matched our expectations.

We booked a Safari tour (Mikumi National Park) with African Pangolin Safaris. We wanted to spend 1 night in the park and 1 night outside the park and Manaoor arranged that for us well. Wonderful experience with African Pangolin Safari!
We were traveling as two families with 5 kids ranging 8-12. We booked the southern circuit as it was more convenient from where we were traveling and less expensive for our group. We had zero regrets on the trip we chose and loved every moment. The long travel days were scenic and broken up nicely for lunch. We saw so many animals and Mansoor was very knowledgeable on the wildlife, land and culture. One highlight was seeing a lion family with young cubs, but everyday was amazing and full of wildlife viewing. The lodging options were great, food was good, and when we go back I would definitely book with African Pangolin safaris. Mansoor made the booking process easy, answering all my questions. We felt safe and in great hands throughout the entire trip.

The tour was amazing and the guides very professionals and kinds. They wait us at the international airport of Dar es Salaam and they bring us to Arusha, where begin the safari game drive in the most beautiful National Park of Tanzania. At the end they leave us to Arusha airport

Amazing family safari in Nyerere NP
We did an amazing safari with African Pangolin Safari. Mansoor explained everything very well in advance and delivered exactly on the promises. Our tour guide Rajabu was fantastic and worked very hard to make our experience memorable. We stayed in a camp outside the park which worked very well. The food was delicious and considered all our dietary requirements. The whole safari was great value for money. We just felt a bit sorry for the giraffe that the three lionesses were chewing on while we watched. :-) Thank you to the whole team!

We spent three days on safari in Mikumi National Park with Mansoor as our guide, and it was an experience we’ll always remember. He picked us up in Dar es Salaam and drove us to Mikumi, his car was excellent and perfectly suited for the safari. Mansoor is patient, friendly, knowledgeable, but also very reliable. He listened carefully and made sure to accommodate every wish we had, which made us feel truly cared for. We had such an amazing experience with African Pangolin Safaris! As a group of female students, we really appreciated how safe and comfortable we felt during the whole trip. We compared many safari prices before booking, and this was honestly one of the fairest and most affordable options we found. The food was good, the accommodation was nice, and the entire day was exciting from start to finish. We saw so many animals — even lions mating! A special thank you to our guide Mansoor.
