Excellent and professional Safari operator with very friendly and experienced staff
We went on a three day Safari to Nyerere NP from Daramsalam. The organization and communication was very suitable and individual, answers came very quick, we could bring in our ideas. Driving to the NP was smooth and comfortable in a well kept Safari jeep with a very prudent driver and guide. The lodge was very well kept with outstanding food and friendly staff there, quiet and clean. On the Safari we saw a lot of animals, the guide worked again according to our interests and ideas, found the best spots for us. The value for money was excellent, others are more expensive for lesser value. I can absolutely recommend Pangolin Safaris, thank you Mansoor for three great days out there, everything worked out very well! Thomas

Fantastic safari and culture tour
We had the pleasure to go on a 7 day safari and culture tour in July 2025. It was an once-in-a-lifetime experience and we can only recommend African Pangolin Safaris. Throughout the process Mansoor has been very responsive and helpful in customizing the tour to our wishes and accommodate the full family (7 persons ranging from 10 to 75 years). Our driver/guide Yunus was very knowledgeable and excellent company for our trip through the country. He not only introduced us to the fantastic wildlife, but also explained us about the history and culture of Tanzania and taught us the most basic Swahili words. Asante sana!

After browsing sites like safaribookings.com, we found a program from African Pangolin Safaris that appealed to us, well-filled with what we wanted to see, and affordable within our budget. At our request, Mansoor further customized the program with an extra safari day in each of the three National Parks: Mikumi, Ruaha, and Nyerere (Selous). He also arranged a hotel stay in the city upon our late-evening arrival and an extra day in a beach hotel before our return flight, as well as all transfers. Furthermore, due to an announced strike at Amsterdam Airport, we arrived in Dar es Salaam a day early, so we left for Mikumi a day early for an extra day of safari. Mansoor arranged everything. Mansoor, who also accompanied us throughout the tour, and Ismael, who arranged the transfers to and from the airport, are friendly, polite, attentive, punctual, and careful drivers. We always felt safe, both in the hustle and bustle of the city and on the busy main road and unpaved dirt roads. The program was well-structured. The distances are what they are, but were kept short by overnight stays in interesting places like Iringa and MoroGoro. Thanks to Mansoor, we also visited places you wouldn't normally visit as a tourist: in a restaurant in town, in a village for lunch, or buying bananas or water at a roadside stand. Free drinking water was plentiful in the cooler in the vehicle, which had a pop-up roof for the game drives in the parks. Except for the dinners in Iringa and MoroGoro, all meals were included. There was plenty of choice, usually soup, chicken, beef, fish, pasta, potatoes, rice, and melon, pineapple, or cake for dessert. Lunches were sometimes packed, sometimes in restaurants. It's definitely worth visiting all three parks in the Southern Circuit, as each is completely different. What particularly appealed to us after visiting the northern parks 24 years ago was that the southern parks are much less crowded. The guides almost all know each other and exchange information about what they've seen when they cross paths, but even without that, Mansoor amazed us with sightings we would never have been able to make on our own. We saw a huge number of animals of various species, certainly thanks to Mansoor's more than 15 years of experience as a guide. He knows every path in the parks like the back of his hand and knows where the animals like to be at certain times. We opted for basic to mid-range accommodation and were very pleased to be able to stay close to, or even in the midst of, nature in many places. We feel like we've made a new friend in Mansoor and expect to return to Tanzania in the relatively short term to explore the even more unknown parks in the western circuit. Returning to Tanzania for a next safari, will definitely be again with Mansoor and African Pangolin Safaris.

An unforgettable adventure!
We did a 7 day safari in Mikumi, Ruaha and Nyerere National Park. The safari was excellent organized by African Pangolin safaris. The parks are characterized by different vegetation and landscape and are therefore very varied. Also the accommodations were excellent. Thanks to our professional guide Mansoor we were able to see many animals: elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, hippos, the rare wild dogs and many more. Mansoor is a very friendly person who gave us a lot of information about the animals and Nationalparks, but also about the history and culture of Tanzania. We did a 4-day safari between the Mikuni and Selous parks We had a great time with the operator in organizing the tour, which included long car transfers (unfortunately it was not possible to go from Mikuni directly to Selous but it was always necessary to base ourselves in Dar). The agency guide, Yunus, was very kind and professional and very good at spotting animals. Also due to the season, we didn't see much wildlife at Selous, but the landscape and the tour we were given still thrilled us. Decent lodge accommodation and very competitive prices.

We did a 6-day safari with African Pangolin Safaris and our experience was excellent. Our guide Yunus took great care of us and did his best to show the best parts of the park, at the best time of the day. A full week safari is a good way to enjoy the country and its different parks. Our trip included Mikumi, Nyegere and Udzungwa with a mix of game drive, boat safari and walks. Very well organised. Definitely recommend.

My partner and I had the pleasure of embarking on a 6-day private safari adventure in Tanzania, exploring the incredible wildlife and landscapes of Mikumi National Park, Ruaha National Park, and Udzwunga National Park with African Pangolin Safaris. What made this experience truly exceptional was our outstanding guide, Mansoor. His expertise was great. With his ability to spot animals, we had a chance of seeing elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos and many others. We even saw leopards on for days in a row, which is really rare. He also gave us interesting background information on the country, people, culture and wildlife in general. We drove in a nice and really new Toyota Landcruiser, the perfect safari car. Food was included and tasted good, we had a fridge in the car so there was cooled water all the time. you can book different levels of accommodation depending on your budget. we chose basic accommodation and the rooms were okay, mosquito nets were always included. The above mentioned national parks are really worth a visit as they are less crowded then the northern counterparts (Serengeti for example). We liked Ruaha NP best even though it takes a lot of time to get from A to B in Tanzania. The roads were good but there are lots of trucks on the road. Udzwunga NP is good for hiking, we did a 14km circuit- there are even possibilities of hiking for multiple days. So if you want to explore Tanzania’s wildlife and you are looking for a nice, friendly and reliable tour operator we warmly recommend to choose African Pangolin Safaris.

From the moment we met, Yunus made us feel welcome and safe, expertly navigating the diverse landscapes and sharing his deep knowledge of Tanzania's wildlife. Visiting Mikumi, Ruaha, and Nyerere National Parks in southern Tanzania is just as rewarding as choosing the more famous northern parks like Serengeti and Ngorongoro, maybe the landscapes were not as stunning but the advantage of fewer crowds an abundant wildlife made it a great choice. I was recommended going with African Pangolin Safaris to see the Great Migration. Right off the bat, Mansoor impressed me with his professionalism and expertise. He was incredibly knowledgeable and responsive while he helped me plan the perfect itinerary for our trip. We really maximized our time there with fun game drives during the day and luxurious lodgings to relax at in the evenings. Victor our guide, was a magician! We started asking him to find Santa Claus because somehow he was able to find every animal we requested to see. Not only that, he was an extremely skilled driver- the ride was as smooth as the bumpy roads could allow and he was able to finesse the car into the ideal viewing position amidst a crowd of other safari trucks. He was also able to time many animal road crossings perfectly, parking us in the perfect spot to view giant herds of animals pass right in front of our truck multiple times. Watching him strategize where to take us, network with the other guides, and how nature the utmost respect, you can really see his 20+ years of experience and the pride he has in being a guide. I would 100% go with Victor and African Pangolin Safaris again!

The whole team –Tour guides/drivers (Mansoor, Victor, Lazaro) did an amazing job (detail, organize, and very professional) and special thanks to our awesome driver /tour guide Victor. Victor has magically eyesight (an eagle eye) to spot the animals and is extremely knowledgeable of wildlife habitat. This very experience team of African Pangolin Safaris (tour guides/ drivers) target the areas of the park that have greatest concentration of games. In Northern Serengeti, we had witness one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles: the annual migration in full swing with spectacular river crossings, an adrenaline-pumping spectacle you’ll never forget. Beyond the migration, I’ve had plenty of other magic moments such as spying a pride of lions feasting on a kill, watching Hyenas fight over scavenged leftovers, waking up in the middle of the night and unzipping my tent to see hundred eyes of wildebeests We also saw a male lion with his beautiful big mane blowing in the wind. We will never forget this Safari and definitely we will be back. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience.
