My friend and I ticked off a bucket-list adventure with Genes Adventures, and it was absolutely unforgettable. Genes personally picked us up in Arusha and made us feel welcome right from the start. We were joined by our guides, Hemed and Godfrey, who were nothing short of exceptional. They walked us through the plan, checked our gear, and made sure we felt confident and prepared. We completed the 5-day Kilimanjaro climb via the Marangu Route, and our guides were truly 5-star—knowledgeable, encouraging, endlessly supportive, and always keeping morale high. They went above and beyond to help us through challenges (and they’re fantastic photographers too!). We finished the climb with full hearts, sore legs, and immense gratitude to Genes and the entire team. Highly recommend to anyone considering Kilimanjaro!

Great experience to reach the the summit of Kilimanjaro with a group of ten!

We Climbed Kilimanjaro with Genes Adventures in September 2025 with a group of ten and we all made it to the summit! The team was great. They took very good care of us and they were so helpful. Genes himself was in full control all the time and everything ran smoothly. The views were beautiful during the walks and the stays on the campsites were great. Good tents and very good food. The weather was sunny and most of the time no wind at all. The safari was beautiful and we spottend a lot of wildlife! Also great stays. The people in Tanzania are wonderful and the trip was unforgettable! Many thanks to Genes, his team and our game driver Swazi.

Well organized

The hike to the top of the Kilimanjaro was perfect. Then the trip to Arusha park: saw the Giraffes from really close and the white and Black Calabus monkeys. Nice and green park with a lot of trees and waters, sweet.

Climbing Kilimanjaro was truly an unforgettable experience — one I will never forget. What made the trip even more special was the incredible team. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. The communication was great, I immediately felt I was in good hands. Genes is not just professional and reliable — they genuinely care about their clients. The staff was amazing. The guides were knowledgeable, supportive, and always made sure we felt safe. They checked on us daily, paced the climb perfectly, and kept the energy positive even during the toughest parts. The porters and cooks were just as impressive — so hardworking, kind, and always smiling. The food was delicious and I was so inpressed what they can make so high up in the mountains in short time and for so Many people.. unbelievable! Their professionalism gave me the confidence to keep going, and ultimately, I reached the summit feeling strong, safe, and incredibly proud. Tanzania at it’s best

Genes Adventures help us organise a Safari trip in Nothern Tanzania and the climb of Mt Kilimanjaro. The planing was done taking in account all our wish and constraints (we are a family of 5 with children). the reality exceeded all our expectations: - full service during all the trip - Great guides, both during the safari and for the climb - we had a spare day and Genes helped us with a program « a la carte » (2 persons did one additional safari, the others stayed in town for craft sightseeing) - we went all five on top of the Kilimanjaro with a warm and friendly crew Great vacation, we will remember Tanzania. We warmly recommend Genes and his team.

Thoughtful, friendly and experienced tour operator

I had a great experience with Genes and his team! The communication was great, the guides were going at an appropriate pace, but were gently pushing our limits when needed. They were super friendly and knowledgeable, telling us stories about the mountain and the surroundings, and we quickly became friends, sharing stories and playing games. The rest of the team catered to all our needs, so I felt very comfortable and safe. I would really recommend sleeping in the tents instead of the huts, because it can get crowded in some locations. The costs were very transparent and Genes shared with his team exactly what they will earn (this is different with other agencies who keep the tips secret). This was an unforgettable experience for me and I owe it in no small part to our experienced guides! I would recommend them wholeheartedly!

Outstanding Experience with Genes Adventure Company

Genes Adventure Company is an excellent, locally-run operation that exceeded our expectations. My partner and I signed up for the 8-day Lemosho Route climb followed by a 4-day safari—and from start to finish, Genes Adventures provided outstanding service and timely, clear communication. Our Kilimanjaro climb was led by Genes and Joseph, both of whom were knowledgeable, friendly, and highly professional. Genes, in particular, was exceptional. If you listen to their guidance and follow their pace, they will absolutely help you reach the Roof of Africa. The entire mountain crew—including the cook and porters—were fantastic: always sensitive to our needs, attentive, and eager to go above and beyond. Our 4-day safari was equally impressive, led by a superb guide with an eagle eye for wildlife. Time and again, he spotted animals we never would have seen on our own. His experience and passion for the job were obvious and added so much value to our trip. Overall, Genes Adventure Company delivered a top-notch experience. Amazing experience and well guided

I climbed Kilimanjaro with Genes Adventures in 2010, and it remains one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Genes was a fantastic guide—patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly encouraging. He supported us every step of the way, from the base to the summit and safely back down. His calm presence and clear communication made us feel secure and motivated throughout the journey. Genes was a highly professional leader.

We were a group of Swiss, German and Tansanien people, 24, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on the Machame-Route. Genes team comprised 84 porters and leaders, who all knew what their job was. They were characterized by exceptionally precise cooperation. Daily medical checks and targeted measures when difficulties arose, endured the well-being of each individual. Everyone of the whole group reached Uhuru Peak! The all-around care also included very good food for omnivores as well as for vegetarians or gluten-free eaters. We slept in two tents and were woken up in the morning wirh the question: coffee, tea or hot chocolate? We started the day with a hot drink in the tent! A short devotional each morning inspired us to hike connected wirh the Living One. The atmosphere was uplifting all seven days, even in the storm that tore a food tent. It was immediately dismantled and mendid. Looking back on this life-changing ascent of Mount Kilimanjaro, I am still thrilled and draw on the especislly beautiful memories. I can highly recommend Genes as a tour-leader.

Genes Adventures helped me summit twice. The first time I went with an organised group. The second time I organised it myself because I knew that Genes was the one! Genes is very well organised. Genes is funny. Genes is a true leader. Genes understands what is needed. Genes has two goals: Safety first, summit second. This is why I am going for the third time, with... GENES!

A very involved and flexible organisation and there staff is very driven to build great experiences!

Genes Adventures guided us on a your to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Aswell in planning the trip as in leading it, we were involved in every aspect of the trip. Although the guides were clear when they had to be, they (and other staff) became a very welcome part of our trip. Their ways ro motivate us when needed without loosing focus on safety and fun felt very naturally. My next hike on Kilimanjaro will definitely be with Genes again.

Excellent!

The knowledge and caretaking of the team of Genes Adventures surprised me. They prepared us for the climb of mount Kilimanjaro and when we where on the Mountain, the help, food, singing, nurtering where fantastic! I went down early and I have been brought back to the hotel, was helped with the flight back. Super!!!

My first trip with Genes Adventures was climbing Kilimanjaro in July 2023. Genes and I bonded quickly and my friendship with him became one of the best parts of my trip. When the group got tired, his positive energy lifted everyone up. Constantly singing songs and teaching us fun Swahili phrases. I enjoyed my climb with Genes so much that in January 2025 I asked him to lead me up Mount Kenya! And Genes Adventures made it happen!! The trip was well priced and he gave us all the information we needed to prepare for the climb. I’d recommend Genes Adventures to anyone who wants a safe climb full of “Mambo Vipi” and “Hakuna Matata” !!!!

Genes Adventures took us further than one would expert!

We booked 7 days of safari in different parcs. ( And added some other activities to that with Genes Adventures too) . Genes Adventures communication is direct and clear. Very pleasant! The service was excellent , with good local food, and making us as comfortable as one could be on safari . Genes took time to really search for the animals we wanted to see, communicating with other guides in the parc. We found this safari trip to be excellent value for money. Genes is very friendly and cheerful, and always checking what you want, but also full of good ideas . If we would ever go again, we would most certainly book with Genes Adventures.

Went with Genes and his team on the Kilimanjaro. An excellent organised and executed tour. Very successful at the end for all participants. Genes also organises Safari and I heard only good things about it, even though I did not go myself. It is important to point out the human character of Genes. Everything was great, and perfectly organized

We climbed Kilimanjaro with Genis Adventure in September and then went on safari. The guidance during the climb was organised down to the last detail. Great guides. The biggest compliment we can give the organisation is the professionalism and flexibility of the staff. They respond to the dynamics of the group and ensure that everyone stays healthy and motivated to reach the summit. The safari and the accommodation were fantastic. The jeep driver was great. An excellent driver, but he also knew a lot and told us many interesting things. In short, it was a trip to remember, thanks in part to the organisation of Genis Adventure.
