Peter and his cheetahs
We did a five day safari with Josh dreamland Safari and it was amazing. We saw a lot of animals like lions cheetahs and even a leopard. Our guide Peter who was such a friendly and funny guy who had a great knowledge as well, did everything to show us as many animals as possible. The food cooked by Pascal was also great, the breakfast, lunch and diner was always fresh and tasty. Compared to other safari organizations we had even warm and fresh food for lunch while other organizations just offered lunch boxes. All in all we had a great safari and the booking was quite easy due to the 24/7 help by Elizabeth. My family and I can definitely recommend Josh Dreamland Safari.

It couldn't have been better
With Josh dreamland our dream of a safari came true. We were skeptical at first because the prices were so cheap, but when we were on safari we were more than impressed. We saw the big five and our driver William did everything he could to ensure that we saw as many animals as possible. Apparently you can choose between camping and a slightly better package. We decided on camping and the only difference is really the accommodation; you see the same animals and sometimes eat the same food. Every meal was prepared with love by Richard and always tasted very good. Camping was also very pleasant and we even heard animals at night and saw zebras there at lunchtime. Many thanks to the team! The price-performance ratio is unbeatable and we had an unforgettable 4 days. (automatic translation from German)

Very nice Safari with Josh Dream Land ! We saw lot of animals, our guide Prayce made is maximum to make us enjoy the tour. The food of Pasco was really tasty and in quantity. Angele who organize this for me was kind, patient and transparent about what is included or no ! And Rama, the driver, helped me a lot on my last day to manage some personals stuffs. Thanks :)

the best experience!!!!
We booked with Josh Dreamland Safaris. I checked a comparison site and found that they would take us to the perfect tours of Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area at a cheaper price than others, so I was a little worried about the quality of the hotel and food, but it was perfect! All the tours were conducted without any problems, and the driver used his experience and network to quickly search for animals. Thanks to him, we were able to see the Big 5. They even came to pick us up from the airport, even though it wasn't the day of the tour. Everyone was very friendly and fun. Thank you for the best experience.

Could not ask for a better safari experience
I went with my friend on the 5 days, 4 nights safari. Spent 1 day in tarangire national park, 3 in Serengeti and 1 in Ngorongoro Crater. Our tour operator Elizabeth gave us a briefing one day before the safari and was supportive in communicating with the airline to have our lost luggage on time. Our tour guide Godfrey was knowledgeable and knows the areas very well and excellent in spotting animals. The food was nice and halal option was provided as per our request. Our chef Richard cooked deilusous food and had a nice variety of meals.

Fantastic and great communication
The safari we did was 3 nights, 4 days. The company picked us up from the airport and took us to where we were staying. We booked a house because there were 5 of us. That evening, Angel and Elisabeth came to the house to explain to us the itinerary and collect the rest of the payment. Then the next day the company picked us up around 0800 to start the drive to the first location. We did this route: Day 1- Tarangire National Park Day 2- Serengeti National Park Day 3- Serengeti National Park Day 4- Ngorongoro Crater This route was perfect for us because we saw everything we wanted to see. We saw the Big 5 (Lions, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant, African Buffalo) plus so many more. Night one we stayed at a lodge type place. I think we were supposed to stay in tents but for some reason we stayed in actual rooms with beds. This location also had some entertainment during dinner. Night two we stayed in tents at a campsite in the Serengeti park. -bring a flashlight/headlamp and bathroom tissue. Night three we stayed in tents at a campsite on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim -showers/toilets were much better. Only a couple showers each bathroom though (some toilet paper) We had a chef who made our food every day. There were other groups that had box lunches, and I’m very glad we had the chef. The food was really good every day. Dennis was really great as the chef and checked in with us every day. Both of our guides were amazing. We had Godfrey on day one and he really knew the park. The last three days we had William. He was also great and really let us get involved with telling him where to stop and for how long. **If I had to do it again, I would have picked the mid-range option. You stay in a little bit nicer of accommodations. The tents were cool, glad we did it but wouldn't do it again (we are 37 and 39 years old). It was worth it for the money saved though. **remember to bring USD ($$$) to tip the drivers and chefs. I am not sure how much they make from the companies who hire them, so tipping is very important for their livelihood. It’s recommended to tip $15-$25 per day, per person on the Safari (so $15 per day for the driver and $15 per day for the chef per person) After the Safari was finished the driver took us back to the city. We had a flight out that evening so we had the company bring us to the airport for an extra fee. Our flight was really late (1150 pm) so we had plenty of time. Would not recommend a flight out of JRO any earlier than 830pm. If you do, let the driver know ahead of time.

Overall, this trip went very well, it was well organized. However, we would have appreciated having the same driver throughout our stay.

Absolutely amazing time with Josh Dreamland Safari
I have just returned from a 7-day safari with Josh Dreamland Safari (JDS) and I had an absolutely amazing time! I can honestly say that JDS is the best! JDS has all the necessary documents like a TALA license to carry out tourism activities in Tanzania, a TIN certificate, and BRELA registration, which they can send upon request. From the first time I contacted Elizabeth and Angel regarding the safari until the end of my trip, the communication was excellent. Every day I had a message from Elizabeth to check if I was happy with the food, accommodation, etc. during my 7-day safari, which I thought was a nice touch. Our safari guide (Godfrey) was great. He was our safari guide for a week, cultural and language educator, animal spotter, and most importantly, our new friend. We had a lot of fun and many laughs. Godfrey had more than 15 years of experience and knew where all the animals were. We saw all of the Big Five and much more--even some rare animals. When talking to other guests in lodges that booked through big safari companies, we had definitely seen more animals. I visited in February during the wildebeest and zebra migration, cub, and bird season (December to March). I saw so many cute baby elephants, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and giraffes. Many birds change to bright colors to attract partners during this time. My trip was as follows: Day 1 - Lake Manyara NP Day 2 - Tarangire NP Day 3-5 - Serengeti Day 6 - Ngorongoro Crater Day 7 - Hike to Materuni Waterfall and coffee plantation Accommodation: We selected mid-range lodges, and all of them were different, but each was very special. If you are staying in lodges, a 40% deposit is payable and 20% if you are camping. We paid the deposit by credit card and the rest in cash when we arrived in Arusha. Please be mindful that changes to the schedule do occasionally occur due to various reasons and feedback received from previous guests regarding the accommodation, food, etc. Parks: Lake Manyara National Park - small and cute but has many animals per square meter. Lots and lots of animal sightings, too many to list. We pretty much lived in the 4x4 during game drives every day. Tarangire NP - probably my least favorite due to very bumpy roads and fewer animal sightings per square meter, but it has pretty landscapes. The Ngorongoro Crater was definitely a “don’t miss” park and was the only place I thought we would see a rhino. We also had a very close encounter with a few lions, large elephants, and later saw a herd of them quite close as well. In the Serengeti, our sightings were unmatched, and in the evenings, we were serenaded every night with hyenas outside the tent. Escorts were mandatory here and for a good reason. One night I saw a large hippo munching on the grass on the walking path outside the tent. The Materuni Waterfall hike and coffee plantation was a fun full day that I didn't want to end and say goodbye to my new friends from JDS. I’ll end by saying one more thing I liked about Josh Dreamland Safari: the company is run by a woman (Angel) who is passionate about animals and giving back to the community. I had an absolutely amazing time in Tanzania with them and hope you do too.
