Amazing Kenya and Zanzibar honeymoon
My husband and I booked a 2 week holiday with Moureen which included a number of Safari parks - Amboseli, Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru followed by a few days in stunning Zanzibar. Moureen was very helpful throughout the holiday and during the preparation. She was very responsive from the start and put a number of package options together with different standards of accommodation for me to choose from. We picked a combination of midrange to higher end lodges and tented camps. On day one she met us at our hotel and introduced us to our experienced driver - Silas. Silas was very knowledgable and made sure we saw the big 5 and a lot of other animals, using radios to communicate with other drivers. Our accommodation was of a good standard and as expected. Moureen went out of her way to help us track our luggage that was lost by our airline on arrival and checked in with us regularly. Overall we had a great trip!

Fantastic experience in Kenya. Amazing place and people
Have been with my daughter 10 years old to Kenya and had an amazing safari experience with all being organized by Kay Adventure. Moureen the adminastrive manager and the guide / driver Kelly made all their best for us to have a lifetime experience. It started since the moment I requested for the offer. Moureen always replied to my inqueries prompt and with a very sense of customer care. Kelly was a very patient and great driver and guide. He always was available to listen to my daughter and search for the animals she wanted to spot. There is absolutely nothing both of them left without personall attention. What team!!! We made Amboselli, Tsavo West and East and Shimba Hills before going to Diani Beach. The lodges we stayed and were booked by Moureen were also great. We really enjoyed staying there after long days safari. At the first night actually was my daughter's birthday and Moureen left organized a birthday party at the lodge. My daughter got very excited with the surprise. It has been one of the best vacations I've ever had. It was the first time I traveled with just my daughter and the experience was wonderful and I have just to thanks Kay Adventure for their customer care. They do delight customers. Love Kenya, Love their people, Love the safaris, Love the wildlife and have just a request for those who are reading to it. Be a sponsor, be a defender of the nature, the wildlife. We need to help and protect them for the future generations. It is not just about the animals themselves, it is also to supporting the future generations of people at the country. Tourism is a quite important income for Kenya and for the future of their children.

Great service, flawless trip, good guide, lots of fun!
Kay Adventure Tours is a professional business, answering quickly to emails, with adequate information and advice, and a good quote for our 6 day safari. Also provided a guide (Moses) who knows about birds, as requested, and who also proved a very safe driver. Great trip!

Safari at its best!
We booked the 6-day Amboseli-Lake Nakuru-Massai Mara package for February 2016. From first contact until the end of our safari trip, Moureen and her team did an excellent job and managed to organize everything perfectly. Pick-up was organized, lodges were booked, the only thing we needed to do was to relax and enjoy the trip. Our driver Silas was so nice and friendly, we always felt comfortable in our car with our "bush family" :-) Kay Adventure Tours is highly recommended, a perfect and simple way to enjoy a wonderful safari tour.

The trip was really a great experience for the whole family
The guide was very polite and helpful, and he worked hard to give us good chances to view the animals. When something happened, he was quick and clever to solve the problems, and we felt very safe with him. The accommodations were very good and gave us the right atmosphere being in Kenya and visiting the amazing natural parks with the abundant amount of animals. We were also very satisfied with the Tanzanian guide and the adventures in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and the accommodations and very friendly people we met during our journey. Perhaps the distance to be travelled from Masai Mara to Serengeti, along very bumpy roads, was a little undercommunicated. But it was also a chance to see more of the East African countryside and an interesting border city crowded with people. The title reflect our overall feelings - the trip was a great success for us and we wish to thank you all in the Kay Adventure Tours and wish you all the well for the future.

Better than expected
Tour was seemless (and the cheapest after a few quotes). I had a 4 day stopover in Kenya after travelling Ethiopia. I was given several different options for my time, but chose a fairly standard 4 day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. I chose a mid-range shared tour, but given the time of year we ended up being the only ones on the safari. The lodges were much better than expected, and we saw all the wildlife we hoped: Mara Sopa lodge - on a hill at the entrance to the park where a lot of wildlife congregates. The rooms are large and lovely with separate cabin overlooking the gardens. Nice pool and view, bar and restaurant. Food was all buffet and of a good standard quality. Lake Nakuru lodge - Hilltop position overlooking the lake and the park. This is a large lodge (with a great pool/bar area). Room were more standard hotel, with a balcony which was nice to sit on and watch zebra and buffalo graze in front. The food was a la carte and of good quality. The driver (Cyrus) was also great, spoke great English and always wanted to be first in the park in the morning to get maximum wildlife viewing. Id recommended the company.

Perfect organisation, excellent service
We've booked the Gorilla trekking tour in Ruanda with Kay adventure tours and it was perfect!! From the beginning one year before till the end everything worked excellent. We had regular contact to Moureen by e-mail so that we were informed about everything very well. The cooperating company in Ruanda "Thousand Hills Expedition" was chosen perfectly. We were accompanied perfectly through the three days in Ruanda. Moureen booked the flights from Mombasa to Kigali, the stay in the Gorilla Mountain View Lodge and the permits for the gorilla-trekking. When we arrived in Kenya, Moureen met us in our coastal hotel, gave us the flight tickets and informed us about further details. We had permanent contact to her either by whatsapp oder email. We also booked a trip to Funzi Island and a dinner at the tamarind dhow. Here everything worked perfectly as well. At the end of our holiday Moureen came again to our hotel and asked if everything was ok. We only could affirm that. Next year we want to go to Tanzania and we are looking forward to book again the safari with Moureen and Kay adventure tours. We unrestricted can recommend this company!! Loving regards to Moureen and her team.

A perfect balance between comfort and wildlife
We signed up for the 3 night Tsavo/Amboseli group safari as we're not really experienced campers or wildlife lovers. We immidiately were contacted by Moureen, who very service minded and interested in fulfilling our expectations in the best possible way. The communication was smooth and swift, and Moureen arranged the safari driver to to pick us and drop us off up at our hotel in a timely manor. The final payment procedures were taken care of on the first day of the safari, which was conveniently made by credit card. The one thing you need to be prepared for is the long drive before you get to the parks though! The roads are not the best, but we never felt unsafe. The safari truck was an 8 seat mini van with moveable roof - perfect for animal watching. Our driver, Daniel, a local Masai, had been in the business for 25 years and knew all the potholes in the roads, where the animals are, and the people for VIP treatment very well. The parks were incredible, everything was exactly as you'd imagine from the Disney movie The Lion King. The safari game drives take place in the early mornings and late afternoons for better chances to see moving animals - and we saw a lot of them in both sunrises and sunsets. The lodges where we stayed were nice and cosy, from huge semi tents in Amboseli park next to Kilimanjaro to wooden lodges nestled in the hill side in Rhino Valley, and all included all meals except for drinks (very affordable still). Two things to bear in mind when going on the safari: - bring mosquito repellant, a lot of it. - bring lots of small amounts of cash for tipping and souvenir bargaining (no ATMs in the jungle, and at times the card machines don't work in the hotels). This trip was way above our expectations - thanks a lot Moureen and Daniel for an unforgettable experience! Carl & Rebecca

Fantastic tour (and engagement!)
We had a fantastic 4 day trip (Tsavo East, West, Amboseli). Daniel was an excellent guide and driver - very helpful and went out of his way to find the best wildlife, driving back into a park after we'd left on the rumour of a lion! He even helped my (now) fiance secretly plan our engagement - giving advice on the best hotel and where to buy champagne! Very nice hotels - even better than we anticipated - and the van was kept in pristine condition.

Best holiday
We had a great time. Starting from booking to our very cool safari guide Daniel. Moureen from Kay Adventure Tours replied mails within a very short amount of time and was very helpful in finding the right safari for us. 4 days/3 nights it was - Tsavo East, Amboseli, Tsavo West. We were picked up from our hotel and the adventure began. It was truly an amazing experience and we will never forget it. Thank you!

Driver and guide was a superstar
I had an amazing, poignant, beautiful time on safari with my brother with Kay tours, the price and arrangements were great, accommodation, food and local masai were convivial, tasty and very wrong to share time and stories. The other people on the safari were also a great bunch. Best praise though is reserved for the indefatigable Isaac, a brilliant, knowledgeable and tireless guide, ever willing to seek the best angle for viewing the many astonishing scenes and creatures we saw. Our organiser, Moureen, deserves incredible praise also for the short notice and great price she managed to arrange for us.

A great experience , a trip i'll never forget. And a tourgide how understood his job, thanks Julius
From the day my wife and i decided to go on this trip we had some talks with Terah about the safari trip and got good info. Tuesday june 14 we've been picked up by the cabdriver who took us to Mombasa, there we waited on the van with our tourgide and the other safaritrippers. After we left Mombasa i got to see already a lot of the couintry wich i very much enjoyed. On our way to Tsavo we had a small rest for refreshing a bit and to look for souvenirs for who liked to buy something. From the moment we arrived a Tsavo we could see right away the first animals, mostly elephants. Realy what a special moment it was to see them in he wild natural enviroment in stead of seeing them in a zoo. After a couple of hours we arrived at the lodge where we spend the night at had a lunch and some time for R and R. The trip continued in the afternoon and it was only beautiful , the land, the scenery and all the wildlife we got to see. At the end of our first day the guide got a phone call from another guiide who had spotted a group of lions, so as fast as he could he took us overthere. Wauw!!!! what a great experience was that to see this group so close to the van. I think they were so close to the van that i almost could touch them. This was the best experience i had that day. Now it was time to leave and go back to the lodge for diner and sleep,,, this we all really needed. Day 2 , june 15. We had to wake up early for breakfast and left the lodge after that. The day started chilly but i did not even care about that, i was so excited about everything .So we all got in the van and started our second day. While we were driving and try to spot wildlife Julius our guide saw more then we even could see.He is a man who was seeing things we even didn't see and pointed us on that various times, i thank him for that. Also on the second day we got to see lions and even a couple of cheetah~s. OMG what a good decision to go on this trip it was worth to invest the time and some money in this, i realy can say this from the bottem of my heart! The trip went on for a few more hours and so we reached the end of the park. On our way back to Mombasa we made a last stop for some food and drink, after this stop the thought of the safari stayed in my mind. When we reached Mombasa our cabdriver was already there waiting for my wife and me and he brought us back home to Mwtapa... For all i can say : This was great and a beautiful, will do it again in the future, and for the people who are thinking of taking a safari i can only say DO IT, you wont regret!!!!. Special thanks to Maureen , Terah, if we didn't know you we probally did niot go on this trip. And Julius thanks for showing us the beautifull park and pointing us at interesting things. Also special thanks to my wife, without you i would not have enjoyed it so much as i did!! Asante Sana

Very good experience with Kay Adventure Tours
My wife and I booked a 6-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania through Kay Adventure Tours. Moureen was very good with helping us customize our itinerary and ensure we were well prepared for our trip. We were surprised by how luxurious some of our accommodations were (e.g. the Kati Kati Lodge in the Serengeti was absolutely lovely). Thank you very much, Moureen!

Well organized and communicative!
We spent 11 days on safari (Kenya and Tanzania) and 6 days in Zanzibar, organized by Kay Adventure tours. Moureen made the entire planning process easy. We were provided options for different luxury levels, and were always able to tweak different hotels, lengths of stay in the parks, and add on extras like a sunrise balloon safari. Moureen was very good at communicating quickly and put us at ease by offering Paypal for payment for the safari. After arrival in Nairobi, Moureen set up a time to brief us on our safari- she is very thorough and well organized. Apparently she has been working in tourism for approx 20 years! Our guides were fantastic- thank you, Josh and Brian! While there was a lot of time driving between parks, we knew what we signed up for and were able to see a great sample of different environments and unique animals. We chose Kay Adventure Tours because it is one of the few companies that offers trips to Samburu Park in Kenya, which didn't disappoint. While out of the way, it ended up being our favorite park of its diversity of wildlife and lack of crowds. The rest of the trip was seamless, from transportation to border crossings and the flight to Zanzibar. I will definitely use Kay Adventure Tours for planning the next time I am in Kenya.

Want a trip of a lifetime? Look for further!
We spent 14 days with Kay Adventure Tours across Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar. Easily one of the best trips of our lives! Maureen was very professional from the start, giving us a few different options to choose from and being extremely patient with all the questions we had about the trip, visas, flights and everything else - they were many but she never failed to answer. She came to meet us in Nairobi at the beginning of our tour to give us a final briefing and introduce us to our Kenyan guide, Ben. What followed was 8 days spent travelling across Samburu with its quite unique giraffes and zebras you can see only there, Lake Nakuru's rhinos and flamingoes and Masai Mara's spectacular scenery and wildlife, there were animals at every turn and the sunsets beyond description! Ben was always on the lookout for where to go next to see more animals and was never bothered by questions. We then crosses into Tanzania, where Ahmani picked us up. The huge plains of Serengeti hosted up for the next couple of days, with Ahmani masterfully revealing all the secrets of plants and animals alike. We were lucky enough to see a pack of lionesses hunting zebras just in front of us thanks to his excellent prediction of where to park the jeep before everybody else, really wonderful to see and the zebras made it out alive :-). A few hours spent in the absurdly beautiful Ngorongoro crater with its abundant wildlife closed our safari before being dropped off at Arusha airport and whisked over to Zanzibar for four relaxing days on the beach. Final tally: big five and ugly five seen multiple times and almost all the small five, but those are, well, small and very difficult to find anyway! Good food throughout, especially in Serengeti and Zanzibar. Great people at every corner and the tranquillity of having Maureen ready to support us a message away, should her regular check-ins not have been enough. A great trip, very carefully planned by people that clearly know a thing or two about safaris. We will not hesitate to rely on Kay Adventure Tours again in the future and suggest them to family and friends planning a trip in the area!

highly helpful and caring
I consulted Kay Adventures (Moureen) to plan a 2-week trip for me and my parents. Ultimately I did not use them for circumstantial reasons, but I would have been happy to. Moureen was resourceful, providing quick and detailed answers to all my questions. She was also very accommodating and reliable, and I felt that I was in the good hands of someone who cared about our expectations and experience. I would not hesitate to contact them again and hope to actually take a trip with them next time. Many thanks!

I had an unforgettable safari with Kay Adventure Tours in October 2024. The highlight was staying at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, where the views and wildlife made it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. A big thank you to Mourine, who was so helpful, reliable, and professional throughout – she truly made the trip seamless and memorable.
