A Trip of a Lifetime - thanks to Kay Adventure Tours
I am so grateful that we found Kay Adventure Tours on line. It was a bit of a leap of faith to plan such an extensive trip based on reviews only and no personal recommendations. Kay Adventure Tours exceeded expectations both before and during our amazing tour of Kenya and Tanzania. Our tour consultant, Moureen, was courteous, prompt and responsive in shaping a fabulous holiday from start to finish. She put together 3 - 4 itineraries for us; differing in number of days, location of stops and accommodations and helped us design the perfect tour for us. Moureen was also readily available throughout our tour to clarify details and address minor challenges - including the fact that my luggage did not arrive on the airline. I am ever so grateful that she was able to connect with the airline such that my luggage arrived the evening before we embarked on safari. We had 2 amazing safari guides - Samwel in Kenya and Estommy in Tanzania. Both were very knowledgeable of the parks, geography, and were a wealth of information on the animals, birds and vegetation. They were professional, personable, courteous and fun and went out of their way to ensure we experienced the wildlife in an up close and personal way. From leopards with a fresh kill, to a male lion marking our jeep and picnicking with 2 elephants within very close vicinity. We saw the BIG 5 (repeatedly) as well as the UGLY 5! Samwel and Estommy also appeared to be well connected with the other safari guide drivers as they shared sightings. This is essential as the area is so vast. We stayed in a variety of accommodations - from 5 star to more humble - all of which were sourced out by Moureen and approved by us before we left. On two occasions the accommodations had to be altered and, each time, we were upgraded. Without exception, the staff and service in all of the lodges and resorts we stayed in were exceptional. Most often the food was delicious and always abundant. They were able to cater to the dietary needs of 2 of our travel companions. Finally, I would highly recommend traveling to Kenya and Tanzania in January! The crowds were reduced as it was not high season and as a result, we did not have to wait in line to enter parks, obtain visa entry, or to receive service anywhere! The weather was incredible - it was not stifling hot until we reached Zanzibar which is exactly what we wanted for the beach portion of our tour. On safari we were not jockeying with a multitude of other jeeps to gain visual access to the wildlife. And big bonus - very few bugs! A huge thank you to Kay Adventure Tours - Moureen, Samwell and Estommy. Your efforts and professionalism made this a trip of a lifetime full of great memories and fabulous photos!

A dream trip to Tsavo and Amboseli - worth every cent!
Thank you Kay Adventure Tours - my trip to Tsavo and Amboseli could not have been better! Moureen was wonderful in helping me to personalise my tour and my guide Alpha was excellent! He was friendly, punctual, an excellent driver, had a fantastic sense of humour and an amazing eye for wildlife. We saw more than other groups in the same area due to Alpha's excellent spotting abilities (though we did send others back to see everything where possible). Alpha knew all the guides and rangers so we received excellent up to date tips too! We saw the most amazing birds, lizards, antelope, elephants, zebras, buffalo, hippos and others - plus prides of lions, a leopard with a kill up a tree and my favourite, hyenas (which Alpha took me to twice as he knew how much I loved them). The accommodation and food were also excellent (amazing views!). I would highly recommend Kay Adventure Tours!

Well organized, lovely contact to Moureen, kikoi appreciated (special)
Arrangement and special requests dealt with in very friendly competent way; personalized offer for Samburu National Reserve. Final payment on-site. The kikoi as gift for safari travellers was very special and highly appreciated. Organization for pick up very well, very nice and competent driver, flexible, complied with special wishes (game drive for sunrise). Would book with Kay Adventure Tours again.

Great safari and great driver
All was what we expected. Roads are really rough. Be prepared. Was expecting long but that rough was a bit of a surprise. Our driver did very good.

Lovely, high quality effort from Moureen and her driver Robert
Would like to say "thank you so much" for an amazing 2 ppl VIP Safari organized from Moureen. It was our first Safari and Moureen was very helpful in advance. She offered a lot of options and never was bugged due to our never ending changing requirements. She also organized a webcam chat via Skype. It was a nice and quick option to ask her a lot of questions directly without any time delay. After we accomplished everything and started our trip from Germany to Kenia and Moureen came with Robert from Mombasa and picked us up directly in front of our accomodation in Nairobi. The whole 1 week trip we had our own driver Robert (very, very friendly, funny and qualified) and a nice and good equipped car! We never felt unsafe in any way and the booked Lodges and Camps were as good as mentioned from Moureen in advance. Due to the experience of Robert we have seen a lot of animals (also the big 5 ofc) and he was able to answer all our questions regarding each single animal. Robert was all the time with us (except in our free time) and we loved and actually miss his society. At Maasai Mara we booked an extra option (hot-air balloon trip) in advance via Moureen organized from another organisation and it worked smoothly without any problem. Moureen and Robert organized everything and the other organisation picked us up at our Lodge and returned us to it without any delay. Our trip that started in Nairobi as mentioned before ended in Mombasa and there we met with Moureen again. She organized our 2 nights in Mombasa and we had a city trip + visit of a zoological garden with Robert as our driver again. In the zoological garden we have seen the biggest turtles ever. Never expected such big ones alive. Felt in love with them and will never forget the moment when I saw them crossing my way and realized that they are real animals. Robert has not mentioned them before. It was a huge surprise! If we will ever be in Kenia again we will contact Moureen for sure. We can recommend her to everyone of you without any bad conscience. Thanks for everything Moureen and pls tell Robert that we were very happy with him.

A wonderful safari in the realm of the man-eater lions!
We came to Mombasa more or less by accident. Moureen from Kay Adventure Tours made it all worthwhile. We asked to visit the Tsavo railway bridge and arrange a two day trip around it. We had a wonderful driver/guide, Robert, who showed us around the park explaining about all the animals and how they live. He showed enormous patience, as one of us doesn't see very well, he took his time to make sure we saw every animal he spotted for us. Even if it took us ten minutes or more. If necessary, he even drove to a better spot to see them better. Finding the big cats can be difficult on a short Safari. But we did manage to find a small family of lions, who were posing for some very nice pictures. Lastly, we even spotted a striped hyena, something you don't easily find in Tsavo-east. In short, a very good Safari for a very good price. Booked only one day in advance! Good work!

Great Safari Tour Company
Moureen from Kay Adventure Tours organized our rather complicated Safari perfectly and we had a great time in Kenya and Tanzania. We crossed the boarder between the Masai Mara and Serengeti at Isabania where we changed cars and driver. All went smooth thanks to Mureen and her team.

Amboseli and Tsavo
Communications good. We were initially cautious as we were travelling from Nairobi but the company is Mombasa based. Reassured by good communications; Moureen and the driver came to meet us the afternoon before the trip. Vehicle in good condition, 4WD minibus with game hatch, probably more comfortable than a Land Cruiser. Only three of us on the tour - plenty of space in the vehicle and plenty of personal attention. Voi and Ngulia Lodges, and Kibo Camp - all perfectly adequate and with plenty of good food, though not gourmet! All were secure and had good service. Driver/guide Silas very safe and very knowledgeable; he guided and managed us well and responded to our interests. Plenty of game viewing including leopard coming to bait at Ngulia and elephants at waterholes at both Ngulia and Voi. We were pleased to be back to these three National Parks after a long time (visiting others in the meantime) but in retrospect the long road journeys were quite a stretch (although watching the development of the new railway was an additional fascination). Pricing of the tour was certainly competitive and undercut our normal travel agent by a significant margin. Strongly recommended.

Great Experience!
Moureen from Kay Adventure Tours and me met on Safari Bookings. We contacted before our visit in Kenya and she gave me a lot of helpful information. Arriving in Kenya we met in our hotel to finally book our tour and accommodations. Moureen gave us information about a lot of possibilities to create our trip. At least we booked a four day trip to Taita Hills, Amboseli Park and Tsavo East. We had a very nice driver who gave us a lot of information during the tour about the country, the people, the parks and the animals. It was an amazing trip for us. I will never forget and just can recommend to contact Moureen to plan your Safari Tour! On the Tour we also met a lot of kind people. Thank you Moureen for organize our tour! I wish to come back again!

Exceptional professional service w/ a personal touch.
Maureen provided exceptional assistance while planning our safari to Kenya and Tanzania. She offered suggestions and modified details as she learned our groups’ expectations. Maureen was available at short notice before and during the trip. She exuded warmth and professionalism while ensuring all our needs were met. Once we arrived in Kenya she continued to ensure all details were as stated on the itinerary or improved upon them. She was available by email and telephone throughout our trip, if needed, and handled any minor, local hiccups immediately. Our drivers/guides, Samwel, Estommy, and Sami from the Masai Mara Balloon Safari, were expert at finding game, full of info about wildlife, birds, and the terrain, as well as courteous and funny. They made our trip outstanding and helped us capture some hauntingly beautiful memories and photos. Ignore the guide books’ advice to go to the Serengeti and Masai Mara in the summer and fall and go in January when the the tourists are few, the bugs are fewer, and the animals are abundant. We often were the sole Jeep watching lions and elephants nearby while picnicking under an acacia tree. When we joined other groups to witness a leopard w/ a kill we were only one of a few jeeps, not the hordes that descend on these scenes in high season. Saw the Big 5, the Ugly 5 and thankfully, not all of the Small 5, plus many more animals we dreamed of encountering. I highly recommend Kay Adventure Tours to all who have dreamed of an African adventure where the only surprises are in the numbers and variety of wild animals you encounter.

Good safari!
Moureen was so helpful! We had a great experience with her. She sent us multiple itineraries with different length safaris, as well as different lodging arrangements to choose from. She was very prompt with communication, and paying for the safari through PayPal was extremely convenient. She made sure to keep us updated throughout the whole process, including calling me to let us know our driver would be 1 hour late picking us up for the start of our safari due to Nairobi traffic. The actual safari was very nice! This was both our first trips to Tsavo or Amboseli. The differing terrains and sights and animals in each park was very refreshing to see (albeit Tsavo West's terrain made it extremely difficult to spot any animals- very tall shrubs and grasses), and the lodgings where we stayed were fabulous. The one downside (not due to anything by Kay Adventures) was that visiting 3 national parks in 3.5 days meant there was a lot of traveling between the parks, and we would have liked more time on the actual safari.

The best travel choice of all times
First i would like to thank Maureen for the best rates she gave us. My boyfriend and i did a two day safari to Tsavo east and it was fantastic! The lodge( Voi Wildlife) was a perfect place to be, friendly staff, great service, the view from the room was breathtaking, the night view, and the food was on point. Our tour driver was a great man, Julius was patient, and good with keeping time, full of humour too., we saw alot of animals, some animals that you hardly see like the cheetah and lion, we were lucky to see them at close range twice at different locations. The safari van was very comfortable and in perfect condition. In general i would say the whole package was way worth the price! I would recommend Kay Adventure tours to anyone planning a safari. Thanks again Maureen, Terah and Julius for making our safari memorable! Rose

great experience
Maureen was wonderful, the staff and drivers were very good as well. The Osero camp is very comfortable and we had a great time on the safari. I wish there was more of a guided explanation of the Mara. But other than that, everything was as expected.

Perfect
Our tour of Tsavo was amazing! My family and I enjoyed it so much. We saw the Big Five in just two days, and the trip wasn’t exhausting at all because we made some stops to walk and stretch. Our guide, Beka, was fantastic—he always made sure we were comfortable. My father wasn’t feeling well with his stomach, and Beka kindly stopped whenever we needed. The lodge where we stayed was incredible. I have no words to describe the breathtaking views and the animals you could see right next to you while standing there. If you’re looking for a wonderful, safe, and comfortable experience, this is the place!

6 days/5 nights safari Masai mara/Serengeti/Ngorongoro
We went on a 5 nights / 6 days safari to the Masai Mara , Serengeti and Ngorongoro in mid June 2015 and booked it from home with Kay Adventure Tours. We had email contact with Moureen who always responded quickly and gave us all the information we sought . The safari was not quite according to the itinerary that we were given from the beginning ( but still totally awesome !!!) and unfortunately there was a misunderstanding about the booking but Moureen sorted this out in the very best way ! All in all, we had six magical and completely wonderful days on safari and Moureen did everything to help us in the best way possible! (also I believe it may have been one of the first trips they organized to Tanzania. The Kenya-part worked out perfect but it was in the Tanzanian part we had some small trouble, but like I said, Moureen sorted it all perfectly and I dont think they will make the same misstakes again).

Amazing experience
This was our first time visit to Masai Mara and Moureen organized a wonderful trip for us. In fact, Moureen visited us personally before the trip and clarified all our doubts. The lodge they had booked for us was unimaginably perfect. And the tour guide Mr.Nyaga Cyrus was very understanding and approachable at all times. He was open to our suggestions and ensured that we had a great time. We would definitely recommend Kay Adventure Tours to anyone visiting Masai Mara.
