3 day private safari in Nyerere NP

Communication with the company was swift and precise. We discussed several options and the agreed one was fulfilled as per agreement. I chose the program with boat ride on Rugiji river and the bush walking. Both were unique experiences. My guide Abel was a nice, laid back guy, who looked over my needs and preferences during the safari. I'm satisfied with the overall experience, and recommend Kihindo Tours to others who like to take part in a fun safari tour.

Firstly, Winnie our correspondant from Kihindo been very helpful and to organise the different activities in the trip on to choose the safari place. She been very patient, good adviser and reactive about all my questions (it was a lot). She already gave me a good impression of the company. About the trip, our driver/guide Bakary was very nice, patient and answer all the question we had. We been to a Massai village, it was a out of time experience and we also did the safary in Mikumi park who been as promised, incredible. Back in Dar es Salam, we also booked a tour of the city. Peter our guide of the day was also very nice, friendly and explained everything we was seeing. We been in many places, museums, markets, fish market, etc but also he took me in local places that he know for discovering more. Thank you very much to you all, you a big part of our enjoyment in Tanzania. I recommend 100000%!!

Kihindo Safaris is reliable and offers great value.

We found it easy and quick to book the safari. Our driver, Adam, communicated information well (timeline for the day, etc) and kindly agreed to take us to an ATM before we started our journey. He was a pleasure to be around and made the drive really smooth. Our guide, Saloniki, made the tour fun and exciting from the beginning. He is very friendly and relaxed and obviously really cares about his work and showing Mikumi’s wildlife to tourists. He has incredible eyesight for spotting animals. We were happy with seeing anything during the tour, including the landscape, but managed to see so much during our first game drive, including two lions having their dinner. Highly recommend this tour if you want an easy, hassle free and exciting time.

Experience of a Lifetime!

I've been on dozens of tours all over the world and this tour falls within the TOP 3 in my lifetime. The communication to book the tour was excellent and all my questions were answered clearly. Pick-up from the port was on time and the 4 hour journey to the lodge was scenic. The lodge, food and customer service was excellent. Our tour guide was magnificent and went above and beyond to ensure we saw the most wildlife. He was very knowledgeable and showed passion in his work. I booked this tour strictly based on the cheapest price factor and went there not expecting much but this tour was a FULL 10/10. This was one of the most exhilarating 3 days of my life without a doubt and I highly rate Kihindo Tours and Safaris for the flawless service rendered.

Best safari ever!

We went on a 4 day safari to Mikumi national park and Udzungwa mountains. Everyone were so nice from beginning to end and no question was left unanswered. Our guide, Godfrey, knew all about the animals, nature and local culture. Both him and our driver William made sure the atmosphere was good at all times, and we had so much fun. If we at any point needed any help, they were there. We have nothing but great things to say about Kihindo safari, and highly recommend them on any safari adventure you might like. We did a 3-day safari trip in Sealous game reverse with the best guide and driver Isa. It was an amazing adventure, in which we saw elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and so many more animals We also had a boat safari in Rufigi river and hiking at the jungle forest. Memorable Weekend in Mikumi National Park

I booked the 2-day Mikumi NP and Bush Walking tour with Kihindo Safaris as I wanted to make the most out of the short time I had available. The Kihindo team took good care of me from beginning to end. I was picked up directly at the airport and brought to the Dar es Salaam train station from where (only since a couple of months ago) a comfortable direct train brings you to Morogoro. From there my guide Saloniki picked me up and we went straight to Mikumi National Park. First day included the "game drive" where we saw a great variety of animals like elephants, giraffes and lions. Saloniki and his partner Jaxon were very knowledgeable and you could ask them anything. The Camp Bastian where you stay overnight is a comfortable accomodation with a relaxed atmosphere. On Day 2 during the walking safari you get to know further plants, birds as well as the Maasai culture - our Maasai guide Melemi was very kind and knowledgeable, too. The visit of a Maasai village is a great experience for everyone who wants to get to know the culture better. The whole tour ends with a visit of a farm where you can see snakes, turtles and crocodiles. Afterwards I was brought back to Morogoro where we had a final lunch before the train ride back to Dar. All in all, the two days are filled with exciting program points and I can recommend the tour to anyone looking for a 2-day package that does not only include "game drives" but also a bit of hiking/exploring and getting to know the Maasai culture. I can recommend the tour also for solo travellers as your guide (in my case: Saloniki) stays with you during the two days, takes care of all organisational matters and is available for any questions that might appear.

Professional, courteous, helpful

I booked a last minute tour for Mikumi NP the day before arrival. Kihindo Tours responded promptly to my request and helped me book a one-day tour, with pick up from my hotel in Dar es Salaam. The driver was on-time, professional, and courteous an spoke English. We got tothe park at whcih point the in-park driver / guide took over and was similarly excellent. Hihglights of the animals I saw included elephants, baboons, zebra, giraffe, hippos, and a lion. I highly recommend this operator, I enjoyed the excursion greatly.

For our honeymoon, we chose a 5-day safari in the magnificent Nyerere and Mikumi National Parks. We were treated like royalty by our guide and driver, who accompanied us throughout the trip. Thanks to them, we learned a lot about Tanzania, its parks, the Maasai people, and so much more. They took great care of us throughout our stay, making sure everything was going well for us. For a three day tour it was the perfect choice from Dar, with really good vakue for the money. We especially enjoyed that we had three different safaris (by boat, car and foot) and the cosy resort (silent and genuine) with friendly and helpful staff!

We have just completed a 3 day safari with Isaya. It was excellent. The communication before hand was very prompt and informative. The food and accommodation was excellent. Communications before departure of the safari went great through whatsapp, they responded really quick and with clear answers to my questions. Also the iternity was very clear and nice. We felt very comfortable during the safari. The guide and driver were great company. The car was amazing. We were with the 2 of us so we had all the space, that was very relaxing. The drive to Mikumi was long (6 hours) but nice. Enought to see during the drive. And when you nearly reach Mikumi NP gate, you can already see some animals like baboons. Overall, we had a great safari with Kihindo Tours and Safaris and I would defenitely recommend.
