Incredible experience
Absolutely amazing experience over the past few days with Kapande who was the perfect guide. We saw elephants, lions, hippos, even zebra! He was very respectful to the animals space and was safe. Amazing value for money, book this safari - you won’t regret it!

We used Kihindo for a round trip transfer from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi, and for a full-day safari in Mikumi National Parc in November 2024. The price was very good, the communication was efficient and precise, the driver was safe, helpful and very knowledgeable, and the safari experience was amazing. We can absolutely recommend Kihindo for tours and safaris.

Honest, on point, dedicated and friendly!
My girlfriend and I recently had an unforgettable safari experience that far exceeded our expectations. We were fortunate enough to see every animal we had hoped for, making this one of the most remarkable adventures of my life. Our guides, Darnford and Saloniki, were incredibly dedicated, going above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional. Their passion and effort truly made the journey special. Wonderful experience!
My partner and I had a wonderful time with Kihindo Tours and Safaris. We went for a two-night option to Mikumi National Park, which at $430 US pp was appropriately priced given that transport, meals, guides, and accommodation were all included. On the first day we went to a Maasai village after travelling up from Daressalam where we had a guided tour. The second day was a full day game drive through Mikumi where we saw basically all the animals it is possible to see there (including the very rare leopards!) The third day we came back early to Dar to take a ferry, but I understand that some times people can opt for more activities on that day. In terms of accommodation and meals - we took our meals and used the facilities at Camp Bastian but stayed at Matezembe Lodge which was close by. This was due to an overbooking situation in Camp Bastian. Matezembe is a bit more downmarket than Camp Bastian so be advised if you want to go on safari during busy periods that this may happen to you. The food was diverse and plentiful and usually quite tasty. I especially want to thank Winnie, the organiser, for her patience and responsiveness, as well as Saloniki (our guide) and Peter (our driver) - they all did their best to make this an unforgettable experience. I booked the tour about seven hours before it started, but the tour operator, Winnie, responded quickly and professionally. Thanks to her prompt and courteous service, I felt at ease joining the tour. She also answered my questions in detail, which was very helpful. However, I would have appreciated more information about the exact tour schedule in advance. My safari guide was Frank, and he was amazing. He was very dedicated to finding animals and incredibly knowledgeable. Whenever I asked him a question, he shared interesting facts that made the experience even more enjoyable. Frank spoke slowly and used simple words, so even though my English is not very good, I could understand him easily. Since I joined the tour alone, he was also very considerate and made sure I was having a good time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I truly enjoyed it.

We went to a private group safari as 4 friends and we had such a blast. Every minute of it including the safari itself, the accomodation, the food, the service was beyond expectations in the middle of the jungle. Planning was without a problem and the moment we started to communicate with Winnie, it was obvious that the agency would go out of their ways to welcome us. Our guide William was not only a guide that is so knowlegable about the area but also such a great friend. Also everyone working at the lodge, the additional guides that took us to the walking safari and boat safari were very knowledgable and such nice people. We did not have any issues but if we had, we knew the crew would make everything to make it theirs. The accomodation was very clean with very big rooms, the food was good with big enough portions. We have witnessed amazing nature, although the heat of the region is not for everyone, we would definitely do it again! We will be recommending the agency to everyone we know!

We had a different tour but it was cancelled. Then we found this one and from the very beginning they were really friendly and helpful. We had a 24/7 communication and everything was arranged very smooth. I want to thank 1: Transfer drivers (Meshack & Juhudi) 2: Guide in the park (Saloniki). 3: Accompany to the train station (Mercy).

The holiday was perfect , the food was soo good our guides Saloniki and Nuhu were amazing the showed us every animal there was. We had the best time and got to see soo many diffrent kinds of animals , they answered every question we had and explained everything. All in all this was the best guided safari i could have wished for, i am truly blessed to have been a part of all of it.

We had such a great time thanks to Kihindo tours. We got a 3 day package deal which had so many varied activities including safari and a waterfall hike. Mikumi makes a perfect 1 day safari! The accommodation provided was great too. Special shout out to Isaya who was our driver and was so kind and accommodating to us, we loved spending time with him!

Super friendly driver & guide, we saw lots of animals and had good fun
I took a two-day safari to Mikumi NP, which is easy to reach from DAR to Morogoro by train. Upon arrival, the driver was waiting for me, who took me to the main entrance. The guide showed the park all day and we saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas and lots of other wildlife. Highly recommended!

We have got an excellent driver, who pick up us at the hotel. In the Safari Lodge we had a very nice stay. The room was lovely and very clean. The staff gave us a very good service and the food was great.

The Safari tour is espetacular. We saw the animals soo near and our Guide Danfort was so gentle an he knew what is was doing. Best guide from Mikumi.

We did a 1-day safari to Mikumi from Dar getting there with the new SGR train connection, which already was very nice. Everybody, from the people transporting us back and forth to the actual tour guides, was very friendly and passionate about what they do! On the Safari we saw everything one could wish for, from pumbas to elephants to hippos and zebras, and the tour guides even put in extra effort so we could see a lion! All in all amazing.

What an incredible safari trip! Communication for planning it was smooth, our guide Mike was amazing, great driver, knew how to handle every situation, and full of information to share about the animals which were really close, bastion hotel was really good with delicious food, even the rain didn’t bother us.

We went on the Nyerere and Miluki Parks Safari and had a great time. Our guide Michael was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about not only the animals in the parks but had an amazing ability to spot even the smallest of interesting species. He also gave us great insights into the life and politics of Tanzania. The lodges were comfortable and the food was good at both.

The perfect partner for the best experiences
We had wonderful days with our guide Godfrey and our driver Wiliam. We saw many animals, in a friendly, fun and carefree atmosphere, the Camp where we were accommodated was equipped with all comforts. The pre-arrival and return support was also very helpful, especially with regards to logistics. HAKUNA MATATA!
