Great experience ever

I started looking for a safari tour on Safari bookings.com and we got offered from several companies but Kikwetu Cultural Adventures is quick enough and good responses to us also great offer. By the way in this great offer but less reviews made us wonder if it’s a real company or really have this company so today I will tell you guys they are real and will share my experienced. Kenneth is great responses also their service is very good but their vehicles are painful. They are very old and not comfortable at all. We bought 10 days 9 nights include Hot Sir ballon package. First they come to pick us up at the airport with a very old vehicle and all trip with a Toyota van. I’m not mind old cars if they are still works and comfortable seats. In Nairobi we selected walking tour and our guide very good and knowledge. I forgot his name. I have to say people here are nice and friendly but sometimes they are just very hard sell. After one day in Nairobi we went to Samburu National Reserve and stay at Ashnill Samburu Lodge. Our driver and guide for our all trip is name Masaga. He is well knowledges and took us to see like us requested. We never miss any good ones, very impressed. In this reserve gave me feeling like I am in Jurassic Park movies. Very cool! We saw giraffes, lions, lioness, elephants, monkeys, baboons, chetahs, zebras and many more. We stayed here for two days. Then we went to Ol Pajeta Reserve. This Reserve have so many zebras and we saw super big rhinos here. Our lodge is Jumbo Mutara Camp. Very beautiful lodge I had stayed in Kenya ever but their service was ok. We stayed here only one day and head to Abebare National Park. In this NP mainly we saw many elephants as we stayed at Tree Top hotel. The elephants came here to eat pink salts and drink water. Next day we had super long ride and painful road to Masai Mara. But when we are there, we just forgot how tired we are after we saw super beautiful savanna of Masai Mara and amount of wilderbeats crossing the river also many of animals. We stayed at Ashnill Masai Mara, saw many hippos and crocodiles in the river just in front of the lodge! On the way back to Nairobi we stop at the Masai village. I don’t think they really live here. Seems just for tourists to see. So I have to say if you are looking for great safari experience in Kenya, I would recommend this company if you are not mind about the old vehicles. A superb trip to Masai Mara with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures

Two of us just finished a spectacular 4 day, 3 night trip to Masai Mara in late March, 2016 arranged by Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. We are experienced travelers in Africa, with long trips off the beaten track. Though we knew Masai Mara doesn't fit that description, from start to finish Kikwetu Cultural Adventures was a great choice for all the ingredients that can make or break a game viewing trip: service, lodgings, local knowledge, driver, cook, and itinerary. And the price was great! Right from the beginning Kenneth Kikwetu provided super service. His focus is on Kenya only so he knows the lay of the land. He responded to every question and email promptly and understood our budget limitations and the kind of trip we wanted, making suggestions, all of which were excellent choices. He arranged pick up and drop off at Nairobi airport for a very late night arrival. He made several suggestions for Nairobi hotels in our price range. (In fact we didn't stay at any of them because we used some hotel points left over from my old job to stay free.) We wanted to stay at a small scale camp, and thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable tents and atmosphere at Mwangaza Mara. Our ‘tent’ had two single beds and a double (perfect for laying out the contents of our backpacks) and an ensuite bathroom. The shower even had hot water. There is only a handful of tents, so Mwangaza is quiet and non touristy, perfect for us. The delightful Jacinta will provide any service you need, and make you laugh. Our driver, Peter, was spectacular. After the long drive from Nairobi the first day he took us on a late afternoon game drive that was a perfect introduction to the Masai Mara. The next two days were all day drives, 10 or 11 hours each, with a picnic lunch prepared by Jacob, our cook. Peter’s knowledge of the Mara, its maze of tracks, and animals is encyclopedic. Jacob, our cook, prepared tasty meals. Both he and Peter were knowledgeable, friendly and interesting travel companions. The last day there was time in the morning to visit the local Masai village for an introduction to Masai culture. There are hundreds of companies offering trips to the Masai Mara. I doubt there are many who can top Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. If we are lucky enough to return to Kenya we’ll do it with Kenneth ’s Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. I enjoy very much, especially wild animals were crossing the river Mara additionally, gamedriver, his name Greece(spell is not correct) was exccellent. Only food of camp in masaimara is worse for me

We started by sending inquiry emails to 4 travel companies. In less than half an hour we received an immediate and comprehensive response from Kenneth.....this is how we chose Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. Their reliability and approach ability just warmed our hearts. When we contacted Kenneth we had a timeline,on a budget and a general idea of where we wanted to go but no specifics. He did an outstanding,superb,wonderful job to say the least and with the short notice, he provided us with a lovely coastal package, to cut a long story short, we had an amazing holiday in Malindi. Excellent Safari Package

Excellent Safari Package Thanks to Kikwetu Cultural Adventures for a safari well executed. My husband and I together with our two children had a 7 days trip to Kenya in the month of April. This was our first time in Africa. At first we never knew how to go about the safari planning until we came across Kikwetu. Kenneth was quick in replying to our mails and within a short duration he gave us a perfect itinerary at an affordable cost. The safari was well organized and the driver/guide was charming and professional. We enjoyed our safari very much and the seven days seemed very short. Well Organized Safari- Amazing!!!!!

In April 2014 we went on a safari with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures and it was absolutely amazing. From the pick up in Nairobi to being dropped off at the airport everything was so well planned and executed. We were so blown away by the beauty of Kenya's national parks and its animals. Our guide Kenneth and the team made the whole experience even better. Was so knowledgeable and enthusiast about everything and so easy going dealing with overly excited people. An Excellent Adventure of a Lifetime!

OUR TRIP TO KENYA!!! We had the most beautiful holiday planned for us by the team of Kikwetu Cultural Adventures!! A haven of wildlife, we had the most enriching experiences of our lives travelling across Kenya. After all, it’s not every day that you see the king of the jungle being the target of prey by a herd of wild buffaloes or herds of Elephants from the littlest to the largest rushing to get their spot to bathe in the swamp or Lion cubs enjoying snuggling with their mum on a splendid calm morning or flocks of pink Flamingos’ gracefully adorning the edges of the lake...the list is never ending. Gazelles, Impalas, Giraffes, Zebras, Wilder beast, Cheetahs, Monkeys, Rhinos, birds a many...what splendid variety of wildlife one witnessed. Laudable is the way our driver & guide Msagha took us through it all under tough weather conditions. The trip was planned to near perfection & our Safari to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Amboseli ended with a trip to the fine beach of Watamu. The hospitality was great with comfortable accommodation and delicious food!! Kudos to Kenneth, David, Msagha & Paul for having arranged it so beautifully for us. A big thank you! Great experience

Everything went well, I was picked up at Nairobi Airport by Ephy. The accommodations were good, everything went smoothly. The places we visited were lake naivasha, hells gate and masai Mara National reserve. The scenery was perfect and my father and I had a van to ourselves. The only feedback I have is to improve the accuracy of the itinerary. For example, there were days where I knew of the itinerary changes on the day itself. Also there were some changes to the accommodation but I was not informed prior. There were some hiccups on the last day due to vehicle issues but it was quickly managed by Kenneth. I manage to speak to Kenneth regarding my feedback and he did address the issues he faced. Most importantly, if you are looking for a tour that is safe and reliable. Trust Kikwetu Cultural adventures with your holiday plans. Ephy and Kenneth were honest and trustworthy and made me felt at home.

Amazing Safari

After convincing myself I would like to go on a safari adventure, I had to find a country and a travel agency. After my research, I chose Kenya. The agency was what was left to choose. I searched the internet and found “Safaribooking”. This was the most complete site, as they have all the information you need. I sent some price requests and from the beginning Kikwetu Cultural Adventures, including Kenneth, sent me the promptest replies. They respond quicky and efficiently in a very professional way. I was a little afraid to make payments to a company I had never worked with, but after contacting some customers and Kenneth himself I realized I was dealing with honest people. Until the day of our arrival, they have always given me all the information I requested. From our arrival at Nairobi to our last day in Kenya, our guide – Livingstone Masagha – was amazing. He is an excellent person, always ready to help us and worried about our well-being. Always searching for the wild animals we liked the most. We started at Amboseli National Park, then Lake Naivasha and finally Masai Mara National Reserve. The latter the best. This was an amazing vacation and a trip to remember. I am alrealy organizing my next trip to Kenya and hope I will get to know other African countries, always with Kenneth helping me in the next safari adventures. I truly recommend this agency. Amazing 6 days Safari in Kenia to Amboseli, Nakuru and Massai Mara

We had an unforgettable 6 days Safari during the rainy season in Kenia. Kenneth was a great support in getting everything arranged, always available in case of questions and very flexible to adapt the planning of our safari to our wishes. Going to Kenia during the rainy season is an adventure and we would do it again, specially if we have a driver and guide like Linvingstone. He was great, he drove us everywhere very safely and managed to get through plenty of obstacles on our way. Without him, we would have never get this done. He was our driver all days long, as well during the gamedrives and his experience allowed us to see plenty of animals (elephants, rhinos, buffalos, lions, hippos, a python, hyanas, incredible birds, and much more...) His stories and our exchange with him about Kenia were excellent and made this trip an unforgettable moment in our life. Thanks to him once more for all his positive mindset and all he showed and shared with us. In case we come back, we surely would redo a safaris with him and Kikwetu.

Kenya Safari

Kenneth Benson from Kikwetu Cultural Adventures kindly organised a Kenya safari experience for us during our 6 Day stay in Kenya. We travelled to Nairobi, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Lake Navaisha and Masai Mara. We were clients with many questions and demands and Kenneth was extremely patience, compromising and most of all attentive to our needs. Kenneth responded to queries very clearly and quickly, both via email and telephone. Kenneth kindly created a tailor made itinerary for our safari experience and met our budget needs, whilst ensuring we got the best safari experience and saw as much of Kenya and the wildlife during our trip. Massai Mara and Nairobi Adventure Excellent visit tailor made by Kenneth. Massai Mara with hard working Chris, guide/driver, produced leopard, lion, 5 cheeta brothers,a black rhino, elephants, giraffes, antelope relatives, beautiful birds. Interesting cultural visit with Massai people. In Nairobi visit to HIV+ women producing income for themselves through craft production and to sound studio for disadvantaged youth to record their music and launch into music world. Also excellent Art Gallery at National Museum and Karen Blixen home. Kenneth was completely responsive in planning all aspects. He listened, suggested and found what we wanted to see. The flavour of Kenya: Beyond Expectations !

Mysteriously, Kenneth contacted us when we were pondering to find a reliable agency to organize our first safari to Kenya! My wife, daughter and her family and I have just returned from a dream safari covering Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboselli. We had a great time from pick up at Nairobi and back. The safari, the service and the knowledge of the guide (Alfred), the viewing of the animals , birds and flora was excellent, as well as the lodges and food at each of the places. We now have a feast of memories, photographs and videos which will last us a lifetime. I am happy that all of us, particularly our grand children in their impressionable age have had this experience of nature on a grand and unbelievable scale. Maybe we may do it again!

Kenya Safari

Our experience on 8 day Kenya safari far exceeded our expectations. Our guide was experienced, friendly, professional, and very helpful. He worked VERY hard to take us to areas in the parks where we were able to get close to game, he located a leopard one morning - sleeping in a tree. He was never in a hurry and allowed us time to appreciate the experience. Everything was smooth and well organized, all of the hotels were very nice with friendly staff. I highly recommend this company and would book with them again.

Excellent costumer service and detail

I can´t describe how excelent the safari we arranged was. We organised a safari to Masai Mara and 1 more week of travelling with a 20 months baby in Kenya and it was just perfect. Kenneth and Livingstone (excellent driver) were all the time considering our necessities (even more the ones of the baby) and listening to our requests. It´s always hard to send money in advance to someone you don´t know to Africa as everyone has listened about scams. No worries. Kikwetu is 100% trustable. Don´t doubt it and contract them
