Amazing Animal Land

Nice Trip, really enjoy and appreciate Lappet faced to arrange this wonderful honeymoon. Both in Zanzibar and Tanzania are great. We have seen a lot of animals and also we really enjoy the food in Afraica. Driver introduced many local culture to us to help us blend in quickly.

we started to chat with francisco about our early june safari a few months ahead. he was prompt at providing an itinerary for a 7 day itinerary. as we did more research and comparison shopping, we decided to go with his proposal because he was always quick at answering/discussing our questions and ready to fine-tuning our itinerary with our requests. in addition, his package was the most reasonable on the same itinerary and lodging. we finally settled on a 6 day safari because we were short a day coming from london. on arrival at jro, we were greeted and taken to their office. we had a chance to discuss our tour package before we settled the balance. the next day our guide, noel, met us at our lodge early in the morning, officially kicking off our safari. we toured tarangeire, ngorongoro, and serengeti, seeing lots of wild animals. noel took a good care of us while always on the radio trying to get the clues for rare animal sightings. he is also very knowledgeable about the animals and plants. it's a patience game, long drives every day. but the experience is rewarding. we really liked our two nights at that lone camp in the middle of the serengeti, with animals roaming in a distance. you don't get to experience that every day!

Safari was an incredible experience for us and especially sleeping in a tent in the Serengeti National Park. Everything was great and we enjoyed adventure. From the moment we arrived in Tanzania and until we boarded our plane to return home, our tour operator was readily available and ensured we were well care for. Even the first night, our tour operator made sure that the hotel would have a late dinner for us as our flight didn't arrive until 10:00 p.m. Our accommodations we're very comfortable and equaled the quality as presented in a brochure. The lodges had beautiful grounds, roomy accommodations and wonderful meals. Our guide was wonderful and very responsive to our needs. Additionally, it was important to him that we had a great experience. I loved the fact that he always prepared us for the next day's game plan. The game drives were wonderful; but in addition, loved the cultural aspect as well. Meeting the Maasai, Hadzabe and the Datoga tribes was one of the major highlights of the trip. Especially, the opportunity to go hunting with the Hadzabe tribe. It is something not to be missed. As for the value of this trip, I must say it was very reasonably priced. I really felt we got our money's worth. I usually read tour reviews of other travelers but typically do not write any myself. Safe, responsible and sustainable safari without compromising on the experiences!

We did a 5-day safari covering Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. These were the best 5 days of our lives!! Right from the first communication, Fransisco (team lead) was very helpful in understanding our requirements and the expectations we had. He was very patient answering all our questions and came up with the itinerary best suited for us. Michael (our guide) and his land cruiser were an integral part of the trip, right from airport pickup, to local shopping in Arusha on an extra day after safari, till were back at the airport. The food and facilities were great throughout. The stay was a mix of lodges in Karatu and a tented camp in Serengeti. Fransisco also got us a good deal for the balloon safari which in my opinion is a must-do activity. We got the opportunity to watch the great migration and we did not miss sightings of any of the famous animals of the African grassland. We did catch a glimpse of the black rhino too! As per my observation, what differentiates Lappet Faced Safaris from any other safari operator is the vast knowledge and experience they possess, not only about the flora and the fauna but also about their culture, heritage, and history. Our guide, Michael always made sure of the safety, never drove off-road to get too close to the animals, and understood the animal behavior well. Awesome!

It was everything we imagined and much more! Being able to see all the beautiful animals in their natural habitat was magical. Francisco (tour organizer) did a great job piecing the itinerary for us and answered every email I had with questions in a timely manner. Our guide (Emanuel Ayo) was simply amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, punctual, patient, helpful and most importantly PASSIONATE about what he does and about his beautiful country. Because of him our safari experience was that much more memorable. A few things that need to be worked on are food variety during our stay and having hot water more regularly for showers. Other than that I would recommend this company 100% and especially Emanuel as a guide.

Our Guide (Everest) was a perfect match for us, and the 12 days we spent in the bush with him were a dream. There was never the feeling of being rushed through anything, we could stop and observe the animals and birds at will, with Everest filling it in with his years of knowledge of the wildlife. All of the accommodations were well located in or near the parks and were almost too nice. I only wish we had had more time over all, and that was after 12 days! There is some much to see and experience in Tanzania and we just scratched the surface, but even that would not have been possible without the excellent services provided by Lappet Faced Safaris

Hassle Free Ever

I contacted Lappet Faced Safaris at short notice when I had a Uganda trip coming up. I had shopped around various tour providers and most seemed to offer the same places with little real differentiation. I had a quick chat with Lappet Faced Safaris and they put together a package to suit us. What I liked about it was all of the places were very unique and I hadn't come across them during any of my other research. Everything from then on was handled very simply.
