My two brothers and I recently had the absolute pleasure of doing gorilla trekking in both Uganda and Rwanda with Moroka Expeditions, and to say it was magical would be an understatement. From the moment we landed to the final goodbye, Gerald and his team took care of every single detail. This wasn’t just a trip—it was a beautifully orchestrated adventure that felt effortless on our end because they had everything perfectly dialed in. We went in expecting a “budget” trip, but honestly? The hotels and lodges felt 5-star in every way—clean, comfortable, welcoming, and always in the most stunning locations. The logistics were seamless, the vehicles were safe and comfortable, and we never once felt uneasy or unsure. It's was a great and memorable experience.

I and my friend we decided to have a trip at the last minute and we decided to contact some safari companies to have our trip set. Abraham was really resourceful, we wanted to see the gorillas, chimps and also have a game safari in Rwanda but hand a tight schedule, I really appreciate Abraham with his flexibility in drafting and making the necessary changes so that we could get what we want on our trip. He answered all our question in the best way possible with show of great knowledge of what he does and I have to say, we always received quick replies to our emails which gave us more confidence with letting them prepare our trip. Our Guide Mohammed was really great that made our trip a memorable one with his great navigation and knowledge about the country, care and attention given to us that we even felt that we received more than what we paid for. Great thanks go to Abraham and Mohammad for the great experience we received in Rwanda.

Comfortable and well-planned trip to Volcanoes NP

I took a trip from Kigali to Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park for gorilla trekking and golden monkey trekking with Moroka Expeditions. The trip was well-planned and my driver, Collins, was both friendly and a safe driver. I was fully satisfied with the experience.

Exceptionally professional and knowledgeable

We had a phenomenal 4 days in Uganda with our guide Gerald. He was kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. The gorilla, chimp, and queen elizabeth park safaris were once in a lifetime experiences and well worth the money. What a beautiful country! Everything was organized flawlessly for us, and Gerald maintained high energy the whole weekend, even after very long days of excursions and driving. The accommodation was better than expected. I cannot recommend this trip enough.

Arkunda Gerald was our tour guide for over five days. He made sure everything went smoothly and answered all of our question about the sites and culture wherever we went. During the drives from one location to the next, Gerald would describe the areas through which we were driving, the people who lived in each area and the different resources each place contributed to the rest of the country. We learned so much about every place we went, which made the experience that much more meaningful. Gerald would also take the time to stop at scenic points so we could get incredible photos of the views. Gerald also made sure we were where we needed to be so we could get the most out of each excursion we went on during the five days. Well-informed, engaged and totally worth it

My tour of Rwanda with Moroka expeditions was truly exceptional. Our guide was able to answer all of our questions in a detailed manner, pointed out unique sights like monkeys on the sides of the road or different agricultural plantations. On top of being very well informed about the Rwandan culture and environment, he was also very communicative, punctual and enthusiastic, which added immense value to our trip. He was a good driver, paying attention at all times and ensuring our comfort. Through Moroka expeditions, we were able to enjoy the canopy walk in Nyungwe forest, go on a boat cruise in Lake Kivu, trek for golden monkeys at Volcanoes National park and so much more. Thanks to our guide, we experienced unforgettable, once in a lifetime moments. In conclusion, this safari greatly exceeded my expectations and I would definitely reccomend booking with Moroka Expeditions.

Organised, experienced and Friendly

Amazing trip, nothing to complain about, Gerald was the best if I could rate more I would! Rwanda and Uganda are beautiful and safe everyone is so happy and friendly, the places we stayed which where all planned by the company where beyond amazing and this was the budget selection!! Me and my brothers were sad to leave this place behind and especially Gerald! He knew the roads like the back of his hand and always made us feel welcome!

Good agency to go to Akagera

I booked this tour originally in 2024 but due to Marburg virus I had to postpone. The agency was collaborative in the process and I could reschedule it without problems. One day before the tour I received the name of the tour guide and the hour of picking up. Collins was nice and attentive all the time, even in a problem that we had in the going back to Kigali way. The tour in boat was great, for us better than the game drive in the car, but that depends more from the animals than for the disposition of the agency. The car that was used i think that was not the most appropriate because it was more a van than a car designed for this activities.

Fun Chimpanzee Habituation Experience

Wonderful three day experience with our guide Wilson. We would highly recommend opting for the Chimpanzee Habituation experience vs. the trekking if you have the time. This allowed us to spend 4 hours with the chimpanzees instead of just 1 hour. When our experience ended earlier than expected since we found the chimps quickly once we entered the forest, Wilson suggested additional local experiences to fill the rest of our day. I would highly recommend booking with Moroka Expeditions.

Made it the best experience possible

Gerald was a great guide. He stopped anywhere we wanted to take a photo. He went out of his way to help us with a money situation we got ourselves into. He was very knowledgeable about the area which was fun to learn so much about the place and people. The company always responded quickly and answered any questions we had. Great Experience

I visited Murchison National Park on this tour, and what an experience it was. The entire trip was taken care of, from pickup in Kampala to drop off in Entebbe. My guide, Moses, was exceptionally knowledgeable and amenable, and he took great care to find views of elephants, giraffes, buffalo, Uganda Kob, monkeys, baboons, and more. We even the had the good fortune of catching a lion in a tree (from a distance). All staff working the tour were very responsive. I would absolutely recommend Moroka Expeditions and would book with them again.

Unforgettable safari with amazing wildlife, stunning views, and incredibly thoughtful guides!

Our experience with Moroka Expeditions was outstanding from start to finish. We booked a 4-day safari from Rwanda to Uganda (returning to Kigali), and they worked with us to build a custom itinerary based on our preferences. Communication was smooth and fast throughout the planning process. We visited Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park, did a gorilla and chimpanzee trek, and took a boat tour to spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and birds. Thanks to our guide’s coordination and quick thinking, we were the only group that day to get a photo of a leopard—an unforgettable moment! The guides were incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals, birds, and the local environment. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, well-fed, and immersed in the experience. The safari vehicle was clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, and stocked with cold water. Every detail—from meals to lodging—was carefully arranged. We felt completely taken care of the entire time.
