great tour with a experienced und motivated guide

We booked the safari tour at short notice and did not regret it. The communication worked fine, they informed us well about the tour. The guide responded well to our requests. That's why we saw many animals and varied landscape. He had a great knowledge about the animals and explained and showed us a lot. You could tell that he liked the tour himself. The food was varied and adequate. We can recommend the tour in any case.

The coordinator of the tour company came to see us and made sure of our location before the tours began. The tour guides were excellent and pick up and drop off times were respected. An overall wholesome experience is obtained. i would strongly recommend them.

Amazing experience with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide.

My family and I got in touch with Mark to plan the trip to Moremi Game Reserve in advance. Once in Maun we called him and confirmed our trip. He told us he'll come to pick us up from the hotel at 6am and there he was at 6am sharp. It was cold in the morning sitting in the convertible land Cruiser but he provided us with blankets. I wish he provided us with dust masks. That's the only complaint because we spent in the truck 3 hours to get to Moremi and another 4+ hours driving in the reserve and it gets really dusty... So I would recommend offering the dust masks to avoid discomfort breathing. Our Guide Titi was amazing. He offered us breakfast and lunch. He knew a lot about the wild life and had books related to all the animals and birds we saw. He was able to answer all our questions. We highly recommend this safari company and Titi as a guide.

incredible experience

we (a group of four adults) made the Mokoro canoe trip in the Okavango-Delta with a bush walk in between with the local guide Mathew. we learned a lot about animals and plants and we were really close to the Hippo families, but we never felt unsecure. payment and booking were very easy and transport safe and on time. A big picknick-box was provided with enough food and beverages. this tour was much better than we expected.Many thanks for that adventure.

Unforgettable Camp Safari Adventure and Wildlife Experience

Our 6-days safari experience was truly extraordinary! Our guide, Voice, made it very special; his knowledge of and enthusiasm for wildlife and nature left us very impressed and we always felt safe and well cared for under his guidance. The camp accommodation was very comfortable, and the camp team was awesome. They took excellent care of us and the camp, ensuring we always stayed in scenic locations. Evalino amazed us every day with delicious meals prepared in the camp kitchen. Thanks Oarabile for the excellent communication; everything went smoothly from the booking process to our arrival in Livingstone. A big thank you to the entire team! Very professional and involved

2025 was a second time when we chose the Shipungo to arrange our safari in Botswana. We spent 10 nights in Makgadikgadi and Nxai Pans (once overnight ‘under stars’ next to Gweta, you should try this !), Moremi and Savuti. The trip was organized very well, there were no problems at all. Very skilled and experienced camping staff was providing us a bit comfort in a bush conditions as cleaned beds, hot shower and so on. The meal was prepared in perfect way by the chef Shine on the time and very tasty. We had the opportunity to see unspoiled and wild nature, were guided by Kem. He knew the terrain and the habits of the animals very well. Looking for animals is obvious activity in the safari trip, but the whole surrounding, environment and ‘wildness’ is worth to see and touch; they know how to do it. Shipungo is flexible and reliable, they can advise where and when you can go to see interesting things. They have reasonable prices. It was excellent!

An amazing safari with some wonderful people

There were only 2 of us on this 9-day camping safari in the Okavango Delta. The arrangements were easy and they were very clear about what to expect. Mark worked with me to design the itinerary we wanted. The price was good for what was basically a private safari. We had a cook, a driver/guide and a general helper. They were all good at what they did but also fun and flexible. They took very good care of us. We really enjoyed our time with them. Camping was comfy: a stand-up tent, cots with clean, newish bedding, more blankets than we needed (it was pretty hot until the rain started). The bathroom was rustic but functional. We camped in 4 different locations so as to see more different habitats. Every time we changed sites, the guys would break down, pack up and set up at the new one, all while we were out on safari or sitting in our chairs watching (honestly, we sometimes felt guilty). The food was plentiful and very delicious, especially because Shine was cooking over a campfire. The wildlife and the birds were everything we hoped for. Kem asked us at the beginning what we wanted to see and tried to give us the experience we were looking for. He knew where to find water which seemed to be the best places to see wildlife, and 3 of our camps were very close to water. Many nights we heard the hippos walking past our tent. And one day a pack of wild dogs ran through our campsite chasing impala. We were able to watch them hunt and even catch prey. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this company. Excellent tour

What an absolutely great tour experience from the start. the guide was on time to pick up, had to wait a couple of minutes for us, as we were running late. he made us very comfortable before we left the hotel for our excursion. Upon getting to the Delta, there was a team of people waiting for us, we were taken on the Delta with a canoe. what an experience. they are so professional and the guide Matthew was the best ever. we received lunch, water, cooldrink and snacks as part of the package. We got to see some really cool animals up close and personal, like elephants, buffalo's, hippo's, giraffe's etc. We can highly recommend Shipungo Safari Tours, as they are an excellent team. A wildly good time

If you would prefer to spend your money on a longer safari experience instead of high end luxury glamping, this company may tick your boxes! The company - quick to respond. Flexible arrangements. Tailored to our needs with no fuss. The camping - Basic, clean, comfortable, well maintained, everything you need, with great service from the set up/pack up crew. Hot showers, comfortable bed. Simple camping done well. The food - Shein, chef extrodinare! Home style cooking over fire done to perfection. Fresh bread, cake, stews, stir fry’s and more. We could never have complained of hunger as we were very well fed! The guide - Kem. If you were considering a self drive safari, forget about it. We saw so many self drive tourists miss out on seeing extraordinary moments as they weren’t with an experienced tracker. Kem was able to put us into positions to capture the moments we came to see, and we saw it all. Our overall experience was exactly what we were looking for. They delivered it all and more, and we would not hesitate to use them again.

So we did 4 nights 5 days. The whole experience was excellent. Our guide Voice was friendly, very knowledgeable. We saw lots of Animals and got some great pics. The back up team who looked after us, setting up the tents and cooking/ serving our meals were really friendly and made the safari easy. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone It was also great value for money

Super tour in Okavango delta, southern part

As living in Angola, which provides 94% of the water in the Okavango delta, it was a great experience to see the "results" and be even more aware of our responsibilities as a country to take good care of the water ways in Angola. As for the tour itself, we enjoyed to be IN the nature, WITH the nature and taken very good care of by the team. We experienced so much, the elephants in their life and great impact on the nature, the hippos, the girafs, zebras and many different antelopes. We had our own competition mostly about how many different birds we could see and identify. We experienced hot summer days, thunder and rains - we swam in clear water - and enjoyed rowing in the mokoros. We enjoyed good education for city people like us - in looking, listening, be aware, train the eyes - from our good guide (and the rest of the team). All the best from us Agneta and Karen

The value for money and service at Shipungo is good to very good. The staff is a big plus.

As a family of four, we took a private 5-day/4-night safari from Maun through Moremi, Khwai, Savuti, and Chobe to Vic Falls and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Our guide and driver was Kem, and the other crew members were Voice, Shine, and Keff. They took great care of our well-being. Special mention goes to Kem, who brought us safely and sometimes Schuhmacher-like at the right time to the right place and in the right position to get a perfect view of the animals (f. ex. 2 leopards and 1 lioness with three cubs). He has a keen sense of when to hurry up, when to stay and how the animals move. The food that Shine prepared for us was delicious and plentiful. We would especially like to thank Voice for his patience with us on the day of our arrival, and Keff for his cheerfulness and the warm water he brought to our tents. We booked the medium package with slightly larger tents, better beds and food and a bathroom behind each tent. A good choice for slightly older people and two teenagers. Booking: We booked directly with Shipungo and paid via PayPal. No problems at all. The contact person was Oarabile (Mark). He looked after us very well and answered our emails and questions promptly. The safari as a whole: Not all went like planned on the papers, but that is part of the game when travelling in Africa. The value for money and service at Shipungo is good to very good. The staff is a big plus.

Shipungo delivered the safari of a lifetime - wildlife, bush luxury & wow moments

We’ve just returned from an unforgettable 4-night safari through Moremi, Khwai, and Savuti — and it was nothing short of spectacular. Our guide, Kem, was phenomenal. Thanks to his expertise, we saw an incredible array of wildlife: lions (lots of them!), four cheetahs, leopards, several hyenas with their adorable cubs – one cub even inspected our car (magical!), zebras, impalas.. Elephants were everywhere — majestic herds crossing rivers, mothers guiding their calves, and lone bulls silently moving through the mopane woodland. Every moment felt like a scene from a wildlife documentary — only better, because we were living it! Kem wasn’t just a brilliant guide; he was also a masterful driver. He even rescued other vehicles stuck in deep sand — once while lions watched from just meters away! It was reassuring to have someone so calm and capable at the wheel. The rest of the team — Shine, KT, and OJ — were equally impressive. They set up our camp at all three locations, served delicious meals, and catered to our dietary needs flawlessly. Everything ran smoothly, and their warm hospitality made the experience even more special. A big thank you to Mark, who planned the entire trip with great care and patience, answering all my many questions along the way. He also arranged our travel from Gaborone to Maun, including a fantastic driver, Emmax, who was not only reliable but also great company. Pro tip: If you're planning to travel from Savuti to Kasane by road, be aware that the route is extremely sandy and rough. It’s a long, bumpy ride — not ideal if you have back issues. In that case, consider flying from Savuti to Kasane for a much smoother experience. We had the time of our lives and will absolutely book with Shipungo Safari & Tours again. It’s the best value for money and an experience we’ll treasure forever. Highly recommended!

Exellent experience!

We had 2-days Safari in Mokotów. we are very satisfied! The entire team did a great job, they were helpful and caring and ensured safety. The guide Shadrach worked perfectly, he had a lot of knowledge about animals, he was able to spot them, I recomend Shadrach as a guide! And all staff was amazing! we will gladly recommend Shipungo!

Fantastic experience with a local tour company.

We did a 4 day/3 night camping sarfari into the Okavango Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve. From our initial contact with Shipungo through to being dropped off at the airport our experience was positive. The company in based in Maun and we appreciated all of the local knowledge from our guides and other staff who supported us. The camping experiences in the delta were a real highlight and are highly recommended.

Being from South Africa originally, our bar is set high because we have been on so many safaris before. Kem, our guide for our journey was exceptional. Kem made sure to get us to a sighting that was shared over the radio communication system so we had sightings, such as Wild dogs, that we have never had before. He was also very knowledgeable. We have learned so much from him. Back at camp, Shine and Ody, took care of everything, from setting up our campsite to providing us with delicious meals. They were all very courteous and our camp accommodation was also very comfortable. We had a safari of a lifetime!
