This is one Local Safari Tour that I tried them first time by then and they did not disappoint me.

Like I said I was using them for the first time and and was a bit skeptical about them even though I was referred to them by a friend. 1. Communication wise very impressive 2. Service wise- very patient and not like these other companies who are quick to say deposit upfront to secure your booking, got my confirmation booking over a telephone and paid when I got to Maun. 3. Expectations: 100% what u want or ask for you will get. 4. Safari Tour : Cant wait to do it again, very brave and patient 5. Boat Cruise: Fun and adventures especially doing it in the Delta.

Amazing staff who clearly love animals and their jobs and giving the client a fabuolous experience

From first communications with Mark we knew we were going to have a fantastic time. His willingness to adapt the Safari to start at Victoria falls and end in Maun made it so much easier for us. We cannot thank Kem, Shy, KG and Left enough. Kem's knowledge of the animals and the committment to ensure we saw and understood as much as possible was outstanding. We saw a different lion pride every day ( 42 in total), 5 leopards including two in the campsite which the guides made sure we were safe, a cheetah, hundreds of elephants, too many giraffes to count and hippos galore. We also saw hyena's and their puppies and wild dogs and their pups. Kem always seemed to have us in the right spot at the right time and knew when to stay for a bit extra to see some extraordinary sights. Shy's cooking was delicious. The camp setup was so much better than expected with proper beds and great bathrooms. Highly recommend this company for anyone wanting a mobile camping safari.

Our trip with Shipungo exceeded our expectations in all respects.

We did a 10 day camping safari in Chobe River, Savuti, Moremi National parks and Kwai concession. The four of us had a tremendous trip with Shipungo. The office was responsive and able to accommodate our starting point in Victoria Falls. The logistics of crossing the border were perfect. Once on safari, our guide Kem was really great at finding animals then getting us in the best position to view them, especially the cats, hyenas and wild dogs. He also has extensive knowledge of the fabulous Botswanan birds. We were thrilled by the variety and number of animals that we saw. The campsites were always neat and in beautiful places. Chef Shine made incredible meals over a wood fire. Other camp team members OT and KG were always friendly and helpful. We also really enjoyed 2 boat trips (on the Chobe and Kwai rivers) organized with Shipungo's partners.

Friendly, kindly and well organised team

At first, the team manager Marc know very well his country and explain what to do for enjoy the Safari. We plan together according to our budget to make sure we succeed our safari well and Marc is very good and is very much listening. in addition to, his team, guide and cook were great. we have seen everything you can see and all this in great comfort at night at camp, that’s why I highly recommend Marc and his team Keem and Raps.

Professional, reliable and knowledgeful.

Our guide Kem knew area, fauna and flora very well. He was doing huge efforts to show us as much as possible, but he also lessened our wishes - did not only drive after big 5. We saw 3/5 (lions several times, plenty of elephants and big herd of buffalos) and also several times cheetah, hippos, lot of giraffes etc. We have 11 & 15 old kids with us and Kem did have good communication with them also. Shine (the cook) did prepare very tasty meals - even kids did strongly agree. In hindsight we should have booked 3 nights instead of two. Moving to Moremi and back consumed time in first and last day. It looked like, Kem had not our correspondence with office available. He did check us what was included and did organize everything included and more wonderfully "on run". Huge thanks for that. One improvement suggestion: We moved from Maun to Moremi (and back) in open safari car through gravel roads. Because wind and sand irritate eyes, cheap plastic construction safety glasses would be nice to be available. We highly recommend Shipungo Safari & Tours and thank Kem, Shine & rest of team for wonderful experience!

Great tour with more luxury than we had expected

We really enjoyed our 3-day tour in the Okavango delta with Shipungo. We had special dietary requirements that were met excellently by their chef Simon who made delicious food for us 3 times a day. All our needs were taken care of during the trip and we had a wonderful time. We were doubting whether this tour would be nice considering the significantly lower price compared to other tours. We do not regret chosing Shipungo though and can definitely recommend if you're also looking for a more budget trip in the Okavango delta.

Did Okavango Delta safari for 2 nights and 3 days tour. Services (occomdation, food and mokoro & walks) were excellent and guide could explain well. The tour was reliable and staff (guide, chef and support staff) looked after me well.

Veru professional and flexible.

Very good communication with the tour operator. They were able to provide a customised product based on our specifi requirements (transport from Kasane to Maun crossing Cobe NP and Moremi Game reserve) and we also enjoyed the standard product (3-day camping safari in Okavango Delta). According to my research, they provide best value for money (only slightly more expensive than the cheapest option but with bigger, more confortable tents). The campin was just for our family, we didn't chare with other tourists. Savute (in Chobe) and Okavango Delta are beautiful and unforgettable. Very good guides who now the animals as they were born in Moremi or Okavango delta and lived there nomadic life when they were kids. I strongly recommend, you will not regret.

Highly professional, service-minded, and good at finding wild life

Shipungo provided a mobile camping safari through 4 parks in Botswana (Moremi, Khwai, Savuti and Chobe) that was unforgettable, well-organised, and filled with experiences of being present in the stunning wilderness and close to magical wild life. The guide/driver Kem was highly experienced, service-minded, and incredibly good at finding magnificent animals, including leopards, cheetahs, and lions. The crew was very friendly and efficient, the food was great, and the tent and beds were comfortable considering it was a mobile camping safari. The safari gave good value for the money. I highly recommend Shipungo!

A wonderfull and the only one experience in my life

That was a 4D3N camp trip in Okavango Delta. We have never stayed in the jungle or somewhere like this, guides are patient to teach and remind us all the time. We love the everyday bush walk and mokoro sunset, and the meals are delicious, even the cook had no experience with Asian food though. Hope to have a chance to go back.

Trip well organize

We did 3 days trip in moremi end of july. The camp site and food was well manage and the game drive was good. I recommand marc for a trip in moremi.

Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly

The 3 day and 2 night tour was the perfect amount of time for seeing the Moremi Game Reserve. We spent one day near the camp and one day near the delta -- there was a ton of wildlife everywhere at all times. The guides knew where to look and provided interesting facts along the way. The tents were set up for us at night, and some of the guides made our cots / folded our clothes / provided fresh towels. The tents were huge - you could stand up in them and put a suitcase at the end of each cot. It was a very comfortable setup - pillows and linens included. Overall would highly recommend to others.

Professional and great Moremi game drive

Early in the morning we were picked up by the guide. We drove from Maun to Moremi. After signing in we headed to the park. Nice views, beautiful game and professional guide. Happy we did this game drive with Shipungo.

Great value, flexible and easy to deal with online, even more friendly in person.

Great safari experience, for a rate that was very competitive compared to other online prices for Maun (you can find cheaper prices for everywhere if you're in person, but then you run the risk of not having things available on your dates). We felt very happy with the experience we got, which was tailored to our specific needs in having a flight we needed to get back for. Like all safari companies in the area, they subcontract with local guides, and LK was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable. Had a fun mokoro experience and a wonderful game drive with two comfortable nights camping as well. Overall highly recommended, and easy to deal with when organizing everything online.

NIce people but really poor equipment

We took a 3 day Central Kalahari Game Reserve trip with Shipungo. The three people that came with us, Kem the guide, Kem the chef and slo, were very nice and helpful. The food was excellent, and the tent/camping was fine. However, the vehicle was old and bad un condition. The roof rattled horribly the whole time. It was not suited to pull the trailer, so we got stuck in the sand, and then the trailer kept falling off. On the way back the main tank ran out of petrol and the driver could not switch to the second one, so we waited 2 hours for them to bring petrol. Since the team was really nice, if you are considering them, ask about the vehicle. They may/should have replaced it.

Well organized, flexible, and amazing value for money

We booked a 5 day private safari for 2 with Mark in Maun, and we were offered a great package. We had to make some last minute changes to our itinerary and Mark was extremely flexible and attentive to our needs. We were very happy to have been able to travel through Botswana’s amazing national parks with Kem, Simon and Slow - our safari team. Our guide Kem was amazing. He was well read and knowledgeable about the locations, the birds and animals. He was also excellent at tracking the animals safely. He was a great guide for birdwatching as well, and had books on hand to teach us about the animals and birds we were interested in. He was also excellent with conversation, and we learnt a lot from him. We encountered almost every big game animal one could expect to see in Botswana, in addition to a huge number of smaller fauna and interesting birds. Chef Simon was a great cook and the food throughout the trip was amazing. But additionally was excellent at spotting game and knowledgeable about the wildlife too. We were completely at ease throughout the trip with the team’s expertise and confidence. Great service, great flexibility, reliable and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend this experience with Shipungo Safaris.
