One of the best safari tours I've done

Awesome! I was a solo traveller and the company provided me with a great driver who spoke excellent English....Mr. Xavier.... and was very knowledgeable about wild life, history, culture of Uganda. He is a great guy who was excellent in every possible way. Always on time, the 4 WD was clean and tidy, kept me entertained and informed about everything. Excellent and safe driver. Attended to all my needs even without asking. The hotels were great...Sapphire, Kampala...a bit off the road but the food was excellent. Huge rooms with all amenities. Haven lodge in Bwindi...omg...awesome! Simba safari camp...fantastic and great staff! Igongo, Mbarara....the best ever....5 star...great room, food, shopping....truly amazing. Gorilla trekking was hard but I am proud to say I did it! Photographed a family of 12....14 km hike up steep slopes. Queen Elizabeth park was good but animal density was rather low. But Mr. Xavier showed me the salt making area, fishing village, crater drive and a very secret little twin lakes off the regular track. had an awesome experience with local kids...bought books and stationary for the whole village! I am very happy...Thank you Xavier. Jinja was great....the Begining of the nile...omg....my dream came true! Cruise on Kazinga channel was awesome....plenty of wildlife...elephants, Hippos etc. etc. Finally the company....Ms. Hajarah was not only efficient but was super quick and made the ideal trip plan for me. Thank you Hajarah....You are great. The smoothest trip ever....I have been to 53 countries, mind you! Traffic in Kampala was terrible but Xavier and I got a lot of time to chat about everything from politics, history, culture, family etc. etc. He made everything look so awesomely easy! Great travel companion. Excellent driver not only in the wilds but also in the city! Thank you all at Simba! You will always be on my mind.

Great safari experience

The whole experience from beginning to end was great. The operator was helpful and suggested a tour according to my wishes. The guide was very helpful and the tour gave me a great introduction to Rwanda. I would highly recommend it.

From every point of view a lasting experience

The nature of this country is of incredible beauty. Xavier, our guide, was the best we could have to introduce us to this beauty, very professional regarding organization, very experienced with everything related to wildlife, very open to let us look a bit deeper into the culture of his country. He's not only doing his job, he's doing it with dedication. It was great to have him as a guide! The lodges we slept in were very nice and particular places, we really enjoyed staying there. The food was good, but as it seems to be usual in Uganda, in the lodges the food offered is very influenced by Indian culture. The quality of everything we tried was without any doubt very good, but I can't hide that I enjoyed very much when there was the opportunity to try also local food whilst travelling... It's difficult to describe all the single aspects of this trip. It was a really significant experience in its whole - for everything we had the opportunity to live and see there and thanks to the excellent back ground work of organization and preparation of our tour operator. To be honest, we just want to go back and do another trip. Can't wait for it!

Fantastic

Basic itinerary elements were not delivered as agreed upon but nice overall trip

We did a 5-day safari with Simba Expeditions to Kidepo National Park in uganda. Although the trip and especially the nature were overall very nice, we encountered several issues with the tour operator, that left a bitter-sweet aftertaste. For example, our itinerary and invoice clearly included a landcrusier vehicle but on the day of the safari we got a different car type (that was less comfortable and would usually cost less than what we paid for). When we raised the issue with Simba expeditions, the only solution they offered was to stop the trip immediately (after we have already been on the road for several hours) return to Kampala and get a full refund. Obviously, this was not an option for us, as it is impossible to organize another safari on such short notice. Apart from a few if those issues, the trip and nature we experienced was really great.

This experience truly met and exceeded my every expectation! Alex our guide was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, professional, punctual, reliable, and kind. We knew immediately we were in good hands upon meeting Alex. The lodges we stayed in during our safari were top notch. The chimpanzee trekking and mountain gorilla trekking both went perfect with us getting up close to both. I cannot possibly say enough great things about the experience, Simba Africa Expeditions, and most importantly our guide Alex. I would recommend this to anyone!

SAE was nothing but helpful while I was in the planning stages of my trip. I had a very vague idea of what I'd like to do and the team directed me into a week full of amazing adventure. They took on board what I was looking for out of my trip, my style with regard to accommodation and provided a service I would use again in a heart beat. My guide, Xavier, was fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure my week met (and surpassed) my expectations. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and generally a great guy. I will use them again as and when I can return to Africa, I genuinely cant recommend them enough. Thanks so much for everything!

Above and beyond what we paid for

Simba Safari offers bespoke services. From the bookings and communication with Moses (director), the entire process was flawless. The number of activities compared to the cost was unbelievable. Arnold our driver/guide was on time, very knowledgeable and the bluetooth speaker with the bird sounds was a bonus. The two game drives we had were amazing, we saw lions, leopard, lots of elephants, antelopes, buffaloes and giraffes. The boat cruise on the Nile in the afternoon was quite refreshing. The biggest bonus for me/our group was the comfortable van, I recommend anyone thinking of a Safari to consider Simba Africa Expeditions.

5 day trip Bwindi / Queen Elizabeth

An amazing experience. Booked a 5 day trip with Hajarah and he was very helpful. Already from the airport pick-up I was warmly welcomed by Katie and Alex, they have done everything to make it as pleasant as possible for my trip. Nothing was too much and they even made proposals. The lodges of Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth were well cared for with excellent meals. Friendly and helpful staff. The visit to the gorillas / chimpanzee, game drive and everything else was anamazing experience in this beautiful country. Will definitely recommend Simba African Expeditions to everyone. This because of the experience and the professionalism of this tour operator. I would therefore like to thank them for making such an experience.

Great service and wonderful experience!

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I had a short amount of time in the extension of a work trip, and had no idea that I would get to see and experience so much greatness in two days! I was picked up by a nice and safe driver and got to see both a beautiful and spectacular waterfall, a fantastic boat trip on the Nile (got to see many hippos, beautiful birds, elephants, crocodiles etc). - magical. The lodge I stayed at (Paraa) was nice, with great view over the Nile and great food. The safari experiences were amazing - both in the afternoon and early morning. I even got to see lions chasing a herd of buffalo and catching a calf! I was transported back to Kampala/Entebbe in good time for my flight home. Had good lunch at a place with a nice garden on the way. There are many hours in the car but, so much to see on the way, and I felt very safe and looked after all the way. Thanks to Simba for all the arrangement and very good service!

Incredible trip, highly recommended!

I did a 7 day trip including chimps at Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, the gorillas at Bwindi impenetrable forest and Lake Bunyonyi. It was everything I expected and more. I loved all of the locations on the tour and the accommodation and food were all very good. The food at Kibale Forest Camp was especially good! Tom was a great guide, he looked after me well and taught me lots about the animals and the people of Uganda. I got to see all the animals I wanted to see, Tom found some lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park and he found me some zebras on the outskirts of lake Nburu on the way back to Entebbe which was a nice bonus. Hajarah was also a please to deal with leading up to the safari, she answered all my questions very quickly. I would definitely book with Simba again!

Amazing Tour!

I just finished a 5 day Gorilla and Chimp tour of Uganda. I am a 26 year old woman who was traveling by herself. From the very start, the communication with Simba Africa Expeditions was great. It was very easy to book through them, and when I changed my pickup/drop off destinations fairly last minute they easily accommodated. Seeing the gorillas and chimps in the wild was an unbelievable experience that I would encourage anyone to do. All the places that Simba booked for me to stay overnight were stunningly beautiful and all the meals were delicious. The best part of the tour was my guide, Tom. From the very first pickup I knew I was in good hands. He is incredibly knowledgable about Uganda and truly made an effort to always make me feel comfortable. He was a great friend along my journey! I could not recommend this tour company more.

Amazing Safari!

We had a great time at Murchison Falls. Our driver and guide, Zavier, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, fun to talk to, and accommodating. We had our 9 month old with us, and he had no problem adjusting schedules or timing to meet our personal needs. Booking the safari was also very easy. Simba never delayed in responding to our inquiries and they were easily able to tailor our activities to the desires of our group. It was an amazing outfit and I would definitely recommend them to others!

wonderful experience ! came alone in Uganada for 9 days. During the negotiation time, i was in touch with Hajarah who was really reactive, replying to my email right away. Finally agreed on the trip/price, I arrived at 315 am, Tom, my guide was there, and drove straight to the chimp area (around 7 hours drive). he has been really flexible, the lodge/food were good, and i got an amazing time in Uganda. i recommend them with no hesitation. Gorilla tracking

It was all great from start to end!! Reachel my driver was very kind and always so happy, she shared with me everything she knew about national parks, animals, trees and uganda itself. Gorilla tracking was amazing and the batwa walk was very interesting too.

The 3 days chimp safari with Simba Africa Expeditions was great. Everything was organized perfectly. The accomodation was very good and Xavier, my driver, he did a wonderful job. Watching the chimps in the rainforest was just breathtaking. It was an Experience of a lifetime. I highly recommend Simab Africa Expeditions.

Mind-blowing in every way

Our tour guide, Arnold, was amazing. The tour was beyond incredible. We saw every animal at the Queen Elizabeth national park (lucky enough to see 3 leopards). My first safari and we will be back to Uganda and definitely do it again.

Simba Africa Expeditions delivered as advertised - a clean, safe, enjoyable and memorable experience

We traveled on the two-day chimpanzee tracking tour in Rwanda. Simba Africa Expeditions was very responsive, communicated clearly and effectively, and were very helpful in ensuring that our booking was complete. The accommodations near Nyungwe were absolutely wonderful on the top of a hill with great views and good food, although the timing of the tour didn't allow us much opportunity to enjoy the hotel. The chimpanzee tracking was very fun and the scenery was beautiful. The food stop for lunch on both days was not very good. This is the area where they can improve the most.
