Perfect experience, We booked the tour a day in advance, this was no problem. Directly we had good contact with (Jacob) smile tours they fixt everything for us; flights pick up and drop off from the hotel in Zanzibar. Clear and fast responses if we had any questions. Then the safari itself was unbelievable. Our guide Mr Salum Msese, he was realy friendly and knew a lot about the Forrest and animals that were found in the selous game reserve. Thanks to his expertise we were able to see all the animals we would want to see even the elusive leopard

Unforgettable life-time experience!

We booked 5 days’ safari Mikumi, Udzungwa and Selous/Nyerere np. It was the best experience we had in our life! Our guide, Said was really awesome! Many thanks to him for this wonderful experience. He always tried to see as much as possible. He is really a professional and a person in the right place! We learned a lot of interesting information not only about animals, he was always willing to answer our sometimes stupid questions. He always informed us and planned for the next day and also offered alternatives. Seeing animals from such close proximity is a unique experience. Lion was less than 2 meters from us! We were fascinated and enchanted by so many things! For example, a picnic in the park overlooking the reservoir, where the animals went to drink, a walking safari with a bushman and lot of others. The accommodation was always very beautiful and clean, we especially remember the truly magical accommodation in Selous! The food and service was excellent, sometimes quite large portions for us. :) It was our honeymoon and we even had a room with decorations ready. What a lovely suprise! It can be seen that everything is done with the heart and with love! We also thank you Jacob for organizing this tour. We highly recommend booking the trip with Smile With Us Tours, if you do it then you will definitely have an amazing time!

Just great organisation, everything took into account!

Thank you so much for this tour and especially for our guide Allen! The route was interesting and Allen pointed us all the important movements. He was riding to all the places the animals could be and we’ve seen a lot - and all the animals in their nature environment were just adorable. Thank you for all these impressions! Also he is a good storyteller and can tell you all interesting things about African nature. Many thanks Allen for that! Accommodation for both nights was really good too, especially for the last night. Only great impression from this tour, highly recommended!

Great adventure!

We have done a 2 day safari at Nyerere Park and it was simply amazing! Our guide, Mr Maarufu (Mr Famous) was the best! Always available to answer our questions, loads of knowledge about the animals and the areas and most of all, always funny! Made us feel comfortable since the beginning! It was an adventure of a lifetime! Cannot recommend more! Just amazing!

Amazing and cost effective

We had a wonderful safari experience using this company. They know the Serengeti like it was their home. Also, they were sensitive to your dietary requirements. We had the greatest tour guide, his name was Freddie, he took the best routes to get to the Serengeti and stopped wherever we wanted. I recommend this company, it's worth the money.

Amazing Safari and Excellent Service

Our safari experience was amazing from start to finish. Of course the animals are great, but the service is what set it apart. We had some pretty unlucky travel getting to Africa. We had 19 hours of flight delays...and when we finally made it...our bags did not. The team helped to adjust our safari to work with our new arrival time and made many calls to the airlines to help arrange our bags making out to the park and into our rooms. Jacob and our guide Muddy were such a help making our stressful travel better and making the safari enjoyable. Once we got going, the safari was awesome. Our guide Muddy had great knowledge of the park and knew good spots to go see many animals. He was also very knowledgable on all the animals we saw and taught us many interesting facts that I never knew. We got to see all the normal animals and got to see very cool lion experiences every day. Got to see so many cool things throughout the trip. Aside from the game drives, we also got to see some cool cultural things. Visiting the Masai camp was very interesting and we also enjoyed the bush walking tour. Got to learn about local people and how they have survived and thrived here for many years. Muddy was also very accommodating while we drove around. Some of my friends saw baskets on the side of the road they were interested in and he helped to get them. Muddy also helped go to the airport and work out some refunds for us for all our troubles and also helped get us onto the ferry to Zanzibar at the end of our trip. We really enjoyed every part of the trip. Would definately recommend friends to Smile with Us if they are coming to Africa. Great value, great service and amazing sites. Thanks for the great safari!

Would go again - highly recommended

Great trip with Smile with Us Tours - went to Selous and Mikumi national parks and hiked to the Sanje waterfall. Great guides, accommodations and activities - would do it all gain. The office is good to communicate with - no issues. When we met before we started it looked like the air-conditioning of the vehicle was broken but it was resolved with a different vehicle the next morning.

Fabulous 2 night safari in Nyerere

I was a little nervous about booking a with a local independent operator but I didn’t need to. Jacob put my mind at ease sorting everything out. Our guides picked us up on time from our hotel in Dar es Salaam before driving for just over 4 hours to Nyerere Tented camp where we received a warm welcome and stayed in a fabulous “room”. Our guides drove us to the meeting point of our boat safari and this was brilliant. Our boat guide was fantastic and we saw hippos and baby crocodiles before watching the sunset. The next day our guides took us on a full day drive at Nyerere NP. And although we didn’t see any lions we did see loads of other animals (baboons, elephants including baby’s, giraffe, zebra, impala, crocodiles, hippos, wildebeest, buffalo, hyena & lots of birds). It was a really amazing day. The following morning we were driven for a walking safari, which was ok, a bit more comedy than educational but still saw monkeys & interesting insects. We then had breakfast and were driven back to Dar es Salaam where our ferry tickets to Zanzibar were sorted for us. Jacob also arranged a driver from the ferry to our hotel. Overall a really amazing few days.

Fantastic 3 day Safari to Selous!

We had a great 3 day Safari including pickup from our hotel in Dar es Salaam and drop off at the Ferry to Zanzibar. The trip was well organised and the diversity in wild life seen during the boat, jeep and walking safari was stunning. Hassan was a superb driver and guide who made every effort to make our trip enjoyable. He even went out of his way to arrange ferry tickets for us so we wouldn’t miss the boat. I highly recommend this safari.

We couldn't have asked for a batter experience in Tanzania! Smile with us gave us the best support and value for money that people can find in the market. Extremely punctual and friendly, our driver Salum met us at the airport first thing in the morning when we arrived and throughout the week he was able to accommodate every single request. Our group of 3 families (10 persons) took the 3-day safari tour at Selous (Nyerere NP). From our first contact with the operator until the end of the tour, everything ran seamlessly, to our full satisfaction (in terms of professionalism, efficiency, speed and quality of service, experience and value for money). The operator was highly efficient and professional. Jacob (their contact person) was always kind and very prompt in responding to our communication, and arranged to pick us up from our hotel in Dar Es Salaam and drive us back straight at the Zanzibar ferry terminal on Day 3, which helped avoid the hassle/cost of additional transportation arrangements. On day 1, we arrived at Jimbiza Camp (Selous) in the early afternoon, and were greeted with a warm smile by Godson, the person in charge, who was polite, well-organised, always available, and ensured we had a smooth, pleasant and safe stay. Our tents were clean, spacious with all necessary amenities for a safari accommodation (including en suite WC and shower). After a quick lunch at the camp, we had a boat ride on the Rufiji river, saw many hippos, a few crocodiles and various animals and birds, while enjoying a beautiful sunset. Day 2 was the full safari day in the Nyerere NP by jeep. Kassim and Msafiri, skilled drivers, highly experienced guides, and most of all, persons of remarkable kindness and personalities, drove us smoothly and safely through the rough Tanzanian roads and the Park's terrain. They displayed their experience (and good local information network) in locating several kinds of animals (including a pack of 14 lions), while showing mastery and respect in the way they approached them, causing the least possible disturbance (as opposed to a number of 'kamikaze' drivers around us, who clumsily drove at high speeds towards the animals, scaring them away.) Our guides also had an extensive knowledge of the animal and plant ecosystem, and shared with us interesting insights on the Park's species and the environment. On the 3rd day, instead of the usual 'morning walk in the jungle', Kassim noticed our interest to visit a Maasai village, and was kind enough to arrange a visit through his own contacts with the tribe's chief. We spent about 2 hours there, in what proved for us to be a highly educational interaction with these unique, proud and hospitable people. We are thankful to the operator, and most of all our remarkable guides, for one of the best experiences of our lives. First-time safari visitors should bear in mind that this is wild nature, and seeing all animals you would hope for involves an element of chance. So cherish the experience as it comes, and appreciate what you will be lucky enough to encounter.
