Perfect safari agency

Together with my two friends we decided to book for a 6days safari ,the operators gave us many options of tour packages to fit our budget and we chose the best out of them then we had to pay in advance to secure the booking. On the arrival the operator picked us from the airport at Kilimanjaro then straight to the Impala hotel that we booked for an extra cost. They came for us next morning after our breakfast then started our tour around 8am. It was an amazing experience for us in Tanzania we saw almost all of the wild animals,the maasai culture on top of that we slept in good hotels,the hotel accommodation and meals were so perfect. After the tour in National parks we requested a single day for city tour then we went to hot spring out of town. I really enjoyed and I can’t wait for my next visit. They deserve a 5star for their excellent service.

Outstanding, unforgettable experience!

The best safari experience ever! We did 4-days (3 nights) Tarangire-Serengeti(Ndutu)—Ngorongoro during calving season in Jan 2026. We saw plenty of various animals, including the whole Big 5. Some of them from few meters distance only, we observed them in their natural environment, even eating hunted victims. Communication with the owner was super easy and fast. Our private guide Jephter Makana was such a warm and positive person, very experienced and he put all possible effort to find animals we wanted to spot. Very welcoming and approachable while we needed help, or flexible while we had to adjust the time schedule. Going for a private tour with this company is absolutely worth it! They will take care of you from the beginning till the end. Airport/hotel transfer (pick up and drop off) was included which was a great bonus. Also our driver Martin who took care of us on the way back from safari to the hotel was super helpful, stopping on the way at the places that we asked. Moreover, accommodatoom at the resort and the campings was outstanding - glamorous, beautiful interiors in the middle of the wild! Perfect, unforgettable safari!

Honestly amazing. Didn't just want to take the money, advised the best place to go. Sorted it out very quickly and nothing was too much. Both drivers where amazing and friendly. very efficient and thoughtful operator

Well coordinated safari. It adapts to different needs. The cooks were very good. Nothing like the fast food of other operators. It was well cooked local food, also with vegetarian options. Our guide Maliaki was perfect, a kind person and a great professional: good driver and guide. He has a lot of experience and knows where and when to go to the best places. He explained us a lot of facts about each animal, plants, history and facts of the parks. Thank you Maliaki!!

Great experience for a solo traveller: well organized, reliable company!

I did a five days tented safari with this company (Allan was my focal, Simon our guide and Doula our chief). I was a solo traveler so I joined a group, with various companies. It was greatly organized : Allan was my focal, easy to reach by whatsapp to plan ahead, he briefed me on the safari once I arrived in Arusha, facilited the meals so I can have vegetarian option every day. Tents are confy, the car too (even equiped with electricity and wifi), the homemade meals every day are a real plus to this safari tour. Its sustainable (no disposable plate or anything) and really tasty! I ended up with a very friendly group. I would highly recommend this experience, great value for money according to my research, even if I planned quite last minute.

We were a group of 4 friends,our 5 days tour to Serengeti,ngorongoro &manyara was in March 2019. We were recommended by a couple who came for honeymoon in Tanzania,they linked us with this company,the email address and the website. I emailed them about the itineraries,pricing and some other related information,surprisingly they replied within an hour. The operator (Allan) was so professional and kind. He also gave us his whatsapp where we could chat and ask more questions about payments terms,we got many options to pay through but at that time the best of us was western union&bank transfers. Our tour was perfect starting from the accommodation,transport and meals. We appreciate the team,they went extra just to satisfy us. Was superb, I enjoyed my stay there

We sent requests to several operators and ended up with Nkollo Tours since Allan tailored it to what we requested. We arrived at the airport and we were picked up by our driver to the hotel in Arusha. After our arrival, we got a comprehensive briefing about what to expect during the safari. James was our guide for the 4 days and was very informative and fun to be with. He tried to make our experience unforgettable and amazing. The accommodations met our expectations and the whole trip went beyond what we expected. We luckily managed to see the big 5 animals from the parks we visited. For the 4 days, we saw so many animals, birds, plants, and insects. We had our phones and cameras fully charged since the safari jeep had charging ports and even binoculars to observe animals from a distance. The lodges had delicious meals with varieties. We visited a Masai Village which was so fascinating. The next day after our safari, Allan organized a day tour to Kilimanjaro before our evening flight. Benson was our guide, he was knowledgeable and fun to spend time with. The 40 minutes hike to Materuni Waterfall was beautiful. After the hike, went to the local village for coffee making. The coffee and local food lunch was also served at the village which was also good. Next, we went to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, a relaxing way to finish the day. I truly recommend Nkollo Tours to anyone traveling in Tanzania. Asante sana.

Want to do it again.

Hadn't really planned to participate in any safari, but wow what an experience. Allan at Nkollo tours and safari, arranged everything from hotel pickup in Zanzibar and overnight in Arusha and then the safari which lasted 2 days in the Serengeti and then 1 day in the Ngorongoro Crater. We got to see all the big 5, and much much more. Our driver guided us very well and was very knowledgeable about all the animals we saw. Accommodation in tents was also a big part of the stay and the cook delivered good meals throughout the trip. Would definitely do it again if I'm in the area again. Thank you so much for an incredible experience.

Knowledgeable guides, unforgettable experience

My girlfriend and I did a 3 days safari at Nyerere with Nkollo Tours, and it was an unforgettable experience! The transfers where smooth and Our driver Keresa and David the guide, were both fantastic knowledgeable, engaging, and always ready to answer our questions. They ensured we saw as many animals as possible, and David was an excellent spotter. Thanks to him, we saw lions with their cubs, along with giraffes, monkeys, impalas, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, and even warthogs! Our driver, Keresa, was also great very safe and professional, making our journey through the park comfortable and enjoyable. The selous safari lodge was lovely and relaxing, complete with a pool, which was perfect after a day of exploring. We loved the atmosphere with the playful monkeys running around. The food was delicious too The boat safari was another highlight, with a guide who shared fascinating insights about the various animals and their habitats. However you get to see few animals. The walking safari was fascinating,a bushman whose lively personality made the experience unique and memorable. Overall, it was an incredible adventure, and we highly recommend Nkollo Tours to anyone looking to explore Nyerere park. They truly made our holiday.

It was an amazing experience for us in Tanzania inside the wildlife for 5 nights in national parks,we saw almost all of the wild animals,the maasai culture on top of that we slept in good hotels,the hotel accommodation and meals were so perfect. After the tour from the National parks we requested an extra day for city tour then we went out to the hot spring out of town. Chemka Hot Springs is the best place to visit after a safari adventure badluck i lost my camera i had alot of photos from there but Chemka oasis is a unique phenomenon you can carry your constumes for swimming also do camping if you want too,we really enjoyed and I can’t wait for my next visit. They deserve a 5star for their excellent service.

Professional and service minded, knowledgeable and good humored

The safari was well organized, and everything was taken care of. We stayed at good hotels and lodges, where everything was ready upon arrival. Nkollo provided us with a good and detailed itinerary. The car did not break down and we did not get stuck in the mud, yet managed to see all the big five due to the guide's skill, caution and knowledge. We got a perfect safari with a great guide, Immanuel, in the best kind if vehicle for the experience (land cruiser, six seater, with raisable roof). I highly recommend both Nkollo as an operator and Immanuel as a guide.

Amazing TZ safari experience!!!!

Let me start but saying NKOLLO TOURS IS TRULY AMAZING! I had booked a safari tour with a different company via my travel agent in the UK. When we arrived in Zanzibar, i wanted to check this company were coming for us and to my horror they let us down with a days notice!! We were so disappointed so I searched the internet and found Nkollo, read the reviews and reached out. Straight away, Allan (the owner of Nkollo) messaged me back and was very friendly and reassuring. He listened to what i wanted and advised on a better option than the one pre-booked from the UK. His advice was impeccable and his communication second to none. He managed to arrange it for us in 48 hours with a collection from our hotel in Zanzibar to the airport and then to Arusha - ALL SEAMLESS. We were met my our guide for the 2 days, Ringo. We couldn't have asked for a better guide. Ringo was informative, catered to our needs and was keen to make our experience memorable. We visited Tarangire national park on day 1 and Ngorogoro crater on the 2nd day. By day 2, we still hadn't seen lions so Ringo was determined to find them...we found them straight! All in, we saw lion, lionesses, cubs, hyenas, elephants, zebra, wildebeests, impala, gazelle, hippo, flamingo, buffalo. We had a luxury lodge for the night between. Lunch was picnic style, all locally prepared, proper cutlery.....this trip was so memorable and literally a bucket list experience. Please use Nkollo tours, a local company with amazing guides, local knowledge, best experience ever!!

Beautiful safari experience with a great team

We had the adventure of a lifetime with our family and friends, exploring four wonderful parks: Serengeti, Tarangire, Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater. Joseph, our guide, expertly navigated the sometimes rough roads and tracks, ensuring our comfort. He had an exceptional talent for finding the best wildlife photo opportunities and planning ahead to avoid overcrowded areas. The accommodations, guest services, and meals were absolutely perfect, and the hospitality staff exceeded our expectations with their warm and helpful nature. The wildlife viewing was superb, featuring some unbelievable close-up encounters. From the initial inquiry to the final drop-off at the airport, the service was outstanding and offered great value for money. I highly recommend Nkollotours. Allan and his team demonstrated excellent organizational skills, and Joseph’s patience and guidance were top-class all around!

We have just completed a 5 day safari with Nkollo. We chose this company after they were super quick to respond to our request on Safari Bookings and provided a very competitive price. We received a very comprehensive itinerary and made changes with Allan to suit our requests with no problems. The safari more than exceeded anything we could have ever expected!! We were made to feel special and welcomed from the moment we were picked up by our tour guide Ringo. His English is perfect which meant we could have in depth conversations about the areas we visited and his knowledge about the wildlife and Tanzania is superb. He was very relaxed, positive and attentive throughout which is super important when you are spending almost 24/7 with your tour guide. We not only saw the Big 5 but ticked off almost every animal and many birds in Tanzania. A highlight was a front row seat he secured us at a pride of lions with four cubs at Ngorongo Crater and two attempted kills at Ndutu. The accommodation we chose was also much better than we imagined it would be, even the tented camp was 5 star. We couldn't describe to anyone the true experience we have had this week but what we can say is this safari will stay with us forever and you can't go wrong booking with Nkollo and requesting Ringo as your guide.

Disappointing Experience with Nkollo Tours - Unfulfilled Promises and Poor Service

We had a deeply disappointing experience with Nkollo Tours during our private fly-in safari from Zanzibar to Selous, Tanzania. The communication was severely lacking, with multiple schedule changes not being communicated to us, resulting in significant delays and missed safari time. Our flight was rescheduled without prior notice, causing us to miss 2 hours of our first day’s safari. We only became aware of the rescheduling when we arrived at the airport, prepared to board our flight at 06:00, and were handed new tickets. Moreover, the flight we were placed on included a stopover, contrary to the direct flight that was promised to us. As a result, instead of arriving in Selous at 06:50 as initially planned, we did not reach our destination until 08:15. After contacting Nkollo Tours about this delay, we were promised compensation through extended safari hours, but this was not honoured. In subsequent correspondence regarding the flight rescheduling, they asserted that they are not responsible for the issue and advised us to contact the airline directly. However, it is standard practice that when a flight is rescheduled, passengers are rebooked on a comparable flight, not one that includes a stopover and is significantly less expensive. The second day was equally unsatisfactory. Our safari, originally scheduled to start at 07:00, was delayed by two hours without any communication, forcing us to wake up unnecessarily early (again!). The driver then proceeded to rush through the park at high speeds (60-80 km/hour), despite being informed of my mother’s back pain. This reckless driving led to a broken phone, a broken camera lens and injuries to my back and hip. We passed the elephants twice this day, yet the driver refused to stop for them, citing the need to be on time for lunch. Because the safari tour started two hours late, and the full itinerary was still followed, the driver maintained high speeds, which made it impossible for us to capture decent photos or to enjoy the safari experience properly. Lastly, if the driver did stop for us to look at the animals, a huge cloud of sand came up because he had to brake so hard for the car to stop. In subsequent correspondence, they claim that driving at such speeds would have caused the vehicle to break down. However, as someone who frequently drives, I observed that they were indeed driving at significantly high speeds, certainly not the 30 km/hour limit that is required within the park. They also claim they are not liable for any damages suffered, but I feel this is unjust, as these damages would not have occurred had they adhered to the appropriate speed limits. On the final day, our scheduled walking safari was also delayed, with no timely notice, leading us to cancel it altogether. We had asked the tour operator the day before if the start time could be pushed to 08:00, but were informed that if starting at this time, we would not be able to see any animals. We were therefore advised to begin at either 06:00 or 07:00. We agreed to a 07:00 start, but upon arriving in the dining room, we were informed by one of the employees of the lodge that our tour guide had notified them at 00:00 the evening before that our tour will start at 08:00. Given that we had to wake up 05:30, we were already in bed by this time, unaware of the change in schedule. Given the previous warning about the likelihood of not seeing animals, we cancelled the walking safari altogether. Although we received a $100 compensation for this, we were still extremely disappointed with the overall experience we had with Nkollo Tours. Additionally, the lodge’s pool was out of service, and we were not informed of this in advance, which diminished the value of our stay further. In conclusion, the experience was severely impacted by poor communication, lack of professionalism, and failure to deliver the promised service. We are seeking compensation for the missed safari hours, damaged property, and the subpar experience, but Nkollo Tours insists that the cost of the tour has increased, and therefore refuses to refund any portion of our payment, despite the numerous delays and damages we endured. The second day, they even bought us two bottles of liquor, which we interpreted as acknowledgement of their mistakes. However, they are now citing this gesture as a reason for refusing to refund any portion of our payment. We strongly advise other travellers to be cautious when considering Nkollo Tours for a private safari.
