April to August is the best time for cooler, drier conditions and wildlife concentrated around permanent water. November to March is the green season, when rain brings fresh vegetation, young animals, active predators, nesting birds, and migratory species, often with fewer visitors.

Tau Pan offers sightings of Kalahari black-maned lions, cheetahs, leopards, brown hyenas, aardwolves, bat-eared foxes, gemsbok, springbok, and wildebeest. Children aged six to 12 must use a private vehicle for game drives, and children younger than six are accepted only when the entire camp is booked exclusively.
